The Secret in the Old Attic

Have you ever solved a mystery of stolen music? If you haven't and yearn for excitement and suspense then you should read the book "The Secret of the Old Attic" by Carolyn Keene. The genre of the book is adventure mystery.

Nancy, the main character, is smart, brave, tall, pretty and helpful but very different from most typical eighteen year olds as she is a sleuth. All her talents are put to a test when she starts her work on Fipp March's missing music. Mr. March is the one that offers the case to Nancy. As soon as Mr. March is headed towards his house, Pleasant Hedges, a mysterious person with a rock attacks him. This sudden attack makes Nancy realize that this case is serious and sets out to work on the case of the missing music immediately. She starts her work at Pleasant Hedges, an old house which is almost falling apart, but it has a lot of antiques that manages to get poor Mr. March some essential money. As Nancy is working on the March case, she is offered another case which is about Mr. Dight plagiarizing the method of making silk scarves from another company. This interests Nancy and she begins to work on this case too. Mr. Dight has a bit of a cold attitude towards Nancy when he finds Nancy exploring the factory. The Dight factory is a scary place filled with dangerous spiders and it turns out to be a bloodcurdling experience for Nancy. She really has to put on her thinking cap when she realizes that the cases are related to each other.

To find out more about the story read the book "The Secret of the Old Attic" by Carolyn Keene. I personally enjoyed the book. It reveals some of the story but holds onto some suspense which forces you to read on. It is also well written. I think all mystery lovers should read it and will probably like it!

    Wow!

In this book Nancy Drew is trying to sove 2 mysteries at the same time. The first mystery she tries to solve is when a man asks Nancy's father to find some stolen music that his grandson wrote. Well of course Nancy has to solve it and she is on the trail of a new mystery. Meanwhile Nancy's father has another mystery for her except for in this one nancy is trying to figure out if one company has stolen another company's formula's. While Nancy is solving these 2 baffling mysteries alot of strange things happen such as a skeleton coming out of a wardrobe and reaching out and pulling people's hair! I loved this book because it had suspense in it and a well written plot. I would definitely recommend this book to you so go and read it!
