The Secret of Us get my highest recommendation

The Secret of Us is a story of longing¿a story of life. Laura had learned not to voice her longings but hid them behind childrearing and her husband's efforts to build a business. Over the years, she and Donnie had stopped communicating their dreams. Written from each perspective, Henke presents the struggles of more than just Laura. Donnie can't understand why he's feeling guilty. He has no reason to. Yet ¿ it's so much easier to leave things be¿don't 'open Pandora's Box.' Henke draws her reader into the Dunn's lives from page one. Henke breaks all the rules and does it with a distinctive flair. Deep characterization, rich descriptions and a storyline that resonates all add up to a sterling read¿one you'll be sorry to see end. I won't spoil The Secret of Us by revealing the ending, but it's a poignant reminder to keep our dreams and love alive. The Secret of Us receives my and Novel Reviews' highest recommendation.

    WOW!

This book is sooo worth buying! I totally dont regret trying this new author... and I think I am hooked! This book is like a mirror of me in my new marriage and the thoughts that run through my mind...It is like an older friend talking to me about how to work through the trials in a marriage with God beside me.
    Thank you Roxxy!

    Great Christian Fiction¿

Laura and Donnie have an empty nest. Suddenly, they must face life after their daughter Stasha marries. This book chronicles the ups, downs, joys, tears, and effort involved in making a marriage work. Roxanne Henke successfully gives each character a distinctive voice and allows each character to tell their story. The plot of The Secret of Us is relevant to all married couples. Marriages begin with great dreams, but often those dreams are lost in the business of raising children or building our career. We forget that a successful marriage does not just happen it takes work. Fans of Christian fiction will enjoy The Secret of Us.
