setting, this book seeks to radically change the view of the Gulf War of 1991 by arguing, controversially, that there was no war at all. It explores the state systems operating in the United Kingdom and United States at the time of the war, the types of warfare these countries conduct, and the roles the press plays in relation to these countries and societies and how the press represents the wars they engage in.
