    In respect for the King

    S. King proves he is the master of horror. I see a few writers on the horizon with similar styles, grinding in the really horrific and unbelievable aspects of a tale, and I look forward to seeing how the King holds on to his throne.

Steven King fans, this is a must.

This Book is great. 'The Library Policeman' puts a whole new twist on returning late library books. As always, King delivers the best, and features the hit story 'The Langoliers'. Great book in my opinion.

    4 Excellent Novellas

The 4 novellas of this book are: The Langoliers; Secret Window, Secret Garden; The Library Policeman; and The Sun Dog. My favorite of the lot was The Langoliers. It was my favorite because it seemed farfetched, but it also seemed like that story could really happen. It is a story about passengers who fall asleep and find that they've travelled through a time hole and gone back in time. They spend most of the story trying to figure out what happened. There are many twists in this story. King quite possibly wrote one of the greatest stories I've ever read in The Langoliers as it had me hooked from the page 1. Highly reccomended for anyone 12 and older.

This book is King at his best

King has for many years and I'm sure for years on, made us believe in things that we can only see in movies. I loved this book because it came out the way it should have, and that's the best way. This is a great read...

    One Scary Short Story!

I love Stephen King and this is one of my favorite short stories. Original, well written and frightening, it scared the bejesus out of me! I read it years ago when it was first published, and just reread it with my husband who also liked it. The movie was good, but the written story is so much better! See for yourself...you won't be disappointed!!

    Awesome movie, awesome book!

King does it again! The movie captured the tone of this book very well. If you enjoyed the film, you will love reading the story and the others that join it in this book. Great, creepy stuff!

    A FAN FOR MANY YEARS

Although I have not yet seen the movie, I'm sure that with Johnny Depp starring, it will be wonderful. I read the book with this particular story in it many years ago and loved it. During my many years of being one of Mr. King's 'number one fans' I have become somewhat of a critic and protector. What I mean by that is that there have been a few of Stephen King's books that were made into movies and I actually cried leaving the theater because of how poorly done they were. I considered them extreme insults to this man's talents. Don't get me wrong some of the movies have been done very well, but I also noticed it depended alot on WHO directed and produced them. I guess what I'm trying to say is, with this kind of an author, my advice for anyone just discovering him is, go and see the movie first. That way, you'll never know if it was done badly, and then when you finally read the book, you'll realize, like I have many times, that it is extremely difficult, if not impossible to capture this man's true talent for detail and imagination in a movie. His books are always the best way to go.

Freaky Wierd, but yet totally AWSOME!!

This book was totally cool! It's kind of confusing, but it makes you just want to read it nonstop! It took me 3 days to read this book. I couldnt put it down! If you see the movie, you'll love it just as much! You should read this book! (and see the movie)
