    hurray for the second edition!

This is the best astrology book I've ever read! I carried the first edition through Europe and the Far East. I learned more about people and 'timing' with this book, and it works! I refer to this book (timing charts, and the void of course moon charts) whenever I meet someone new, start a new venture, or shop for something important. It's informative and entertaining at the same time. Ms. Kempton Smith is a clever writer, great insight, a wiz with words and wickedly funny. I just picked up the second edition and love the new chapters. I take this book everywhere, even the beach, it attracts the most amazing people. I'm a Debbi Kempton Smith junkie and I want another book!

    Amazing, Amusing and...........

This book is witty and fun AND gives insights into astrology: the way many things work together and sometimes just don't work at all!! Debbie has been my astrologer for years. She is excellent. She is accurate. She is funny. Just like her book, which I give to my friends as gifts. This is not a 'how to' book or a beginners 'learn astrology' book. It is a lot of years, hundreds of charts and tons of experience, her personal and professional experiences of astrology in real life. It's her spin, her book and every few months I re-read it, highlight certain parts of it and probably need a new copy to replace my old, dog-eared one! And of course, if something big is happening in my life or, according to the stars, about to happen, I check out Debbie's book, or just call her....I read this book, again and again.........and again!

The best and most entertaining book about astrology

As a true nitwit and a bit of cynic regarding the subject of Astrology, I approached Ms. Kempton-Smith's SECRETS FROM A STARGAZER'S NOTEBOOK with some wariness, but found that she made a believer of me, almost totally against my will! She has written a very thorough -- not to mention witty -- work. I'm constantly referring to it. Better than just a 'love signs' book, she shows how Astrology can help your entire life as an aid, in a matter-of-fact way. I loved it!

Insightful, but biased and has gaps

The book is an easy, funny read and has a lot basics with many bonuses. The only problem is that so much of it is biased and non-scientific....kind of Debbi's judgement about signs, placements, etc. Important things relating to personal planets are missing...houses, etc. Also, aspects are not explained, but then there is a huge leap into exoplanets and quantum effects....a very large gap.

    Great Book

This book is THE best. Debbi has broken down each of the houses and defined all of the signs in clear layman's terms.

    Follow along!

This is the best astro book I ever had. I was able to read my entire chart with the help of this book. Also, great insight with moon signs and an upper hand with the male species! Go Debbie, Go Debbie!!!!
