Not a math for dummies book

You should be fairly good at basic math. If not you will not gain much from this book.

Easy Math Right in Your Head

This book is an easy to read approach on doing mental math for anyone. With all the math that comes up in our lives, it's very important to have some general knowledge of doing computations in your head. A neat trick this book also teaches is how to find out the day of the week for any date in history. I'm reading through the book a second time now and really improving, it is very neat!

read mental math and amaze your teachers/friends

My kids are squaring numbers and multiplying by 11 in their heads. The math teachers are amazed. They've just started and picked up a couple of things in less than 30 min...pretty neat book.

This book is so great I bought three copies for my siblings! It is well worth reading this book. And, I promise, If you just pick up a few tips of how to do these lighting calculations it will WELL be worth the money. For beginners and even math PHDs. Anyone reading this could gain from it.

    Dont listen to negative reviews

As soon as i showed some of these tricks off to my friends, they all rushed out to get copies. This book is
Great for party tricks. The negative reviews are from people who hate math, so if you are just slightly interested in looking like a genius (become a human calender after reading the last few chapters!) then get this book!

    Answer to the help post

It is very understandabe how you could have gotten 5345 instead of 5445. When you multiply 495 with 11 you must be forgetting that 9 + 5 is 14 you take the 1 and add it to the 3 making it a 4. :)
