As expected, more fantastic Ken Andrews music to munch on.

We last saw Ken Andrews with the release of On's Make Believe, a blend of the techno-jiggery pokery of On's first album and more traditional Ken Andrews songs. This new album, his first release under his own name, stands alone as a blend of everything Ken. With certain songs meant for his old project, Year of the Rabbit, and many tracks that would fit nicely on an On album, Secrets of the Lost Satellite is a perfect blend of post-Failure, post-millenium Andrews. Enjoy.

    An Excellent Choice

Althought it's the first eponymous release from Ken Andrews, "Secrets of the Lost Satellite" could really be considered the third album from ON, which was the project he started after Failure and before Year of the Rabbit. SOTLS explores more of the electronic and "studio-as-an-instrument" territory that Ken has been delving into lately, but still features some of the hard rock textures that balance out the synths well. Standout cuts include "Secret Things," "Write Your Story," and this reviewer's favorite, "Up or Down." All told, this release is a definite must for any Ken fan, and is worth a look from any modern rock listener interested in thoughtful music.

Ken is back and breaks new ground

I will be the first to admit that I am a bit of a Ken fanatic. And, as much as I loved Failure, I am always happy to see Ken's solo efforts as I feel I have grown right along with him. Less straightforward rock than YOTR, this album is all about textures and landscapes. His talent as a producer is completely evident here, as each song is equally good if you are focused on it, or if it was in the background. This is an album I put in and listen to from front to back, rarely does an album have that effect. While this album has more 'laid back' tracks, they are no weak points, they are his strength, and there is a lot of beauty in them.

Another Platinum Gem By Ken Andrews

One of the finest albums I've ever listened to. Ken Andrews has a true gift for singing, writing, playing both bass and electric guitar, producing, and mixing. Over the last 15 years of his life, he has put out gem after gem, starting with comfort, and this album, is one of his finest achievements. Any music fan in need of inspiration or any musician & artist in need of inspiration, should pick up this album, its very sweet, like a dozen red roses on valentines day. It hits a nerve, and still rocks out! Ken is the finest solo artist of all time, and this is one of the best albums of all time, and a must have for any true music fan.
