    Memoir and cook book all in one

    After watching some of the "Luke's Vietnam" shows I wanted to try some of the recipes and purchased this book. And what a beautiful book it is! From the cloth bound cover to the attached bookmark ribbon, it's bound beautifully. The book is a wonderful look at the family life of the Nguyens as well as a cornucopia of delicious recipes accompanied by beautiful photographs that will make your mouth water. In the back of the book are a list of substitutions for those not lucky enough to have an Asian grocer nearby and a glossary of select ingredients. The recipes are well written and easy to follow. A definite must for the cookbook collector, lovers of Asian cuisine and those who would want to try something different.
