A satisfying continuation of Kaala's story. The author takes you deeper into the Valley to expand Kaala's world, and the young animal and human characters continue to grow and their personalities deepen. In this aptly titled second installment of the series, everyone seems to have secrets, from Kaala to the Greatwolves to Tlitoo. The book introduces an intriguing new wolf from outside the Valley and solves a mystery from the first book. There are some surprising alliances formed, as well. I highly recommend this for fans of the first book. (Warning: There are some heartbreaking losses in this book, too!)

It was fate that brought me to the first book. And sheer obsession that brought me to the next! :) i cant help but admire the storyline, characters, and plots, not to mention the fact that im squealing in excitment for the next book. I am truely looking forward to it and feel it will be a great one, just like the past two of her masterpieces! Shes an absolutely incredible author and this book will have you flipping the pages in anticipation. I highly recommend this book. Not reading this book is the biggest mistake, and failed opportunity, you can make. Trust me.

After I read the first book I had some predictions in my head about what was going to happen, but none of them came close to what happened in this book. I loved this book and I would reccomend this series to anyone with a love for animals. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book.

Amazing book but i was so sad to find that it was a continuing book so ow i have to wait and right at the best part so if gou buy this book be ready for a shoking ending and having to wait for the next book! And this is a must for eolf lovers"
