I am getting back into the Trucking field after a 13 year absence and needed a quick overview. This book helped greatly. Very well written and organized. The author has a great talent for writing and should use this book as a template for other subjects.

This book told *the other side of the story* that nobody else seemed willing to tell: The figures that they quote you for how much you will make are based on you working a 10-hour day *every* day. I strongly believe that Yvonne was *balanced* in her report: she isn't a bitter failure with an axe to grind. But before you sign up for a trucking school, READ THIS BOOK. It's cheap. It's short. It's to the point. THEN you can make your decision - knowing what you're really likely to get into.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about entering into the trucking industry. It is an easy read I finished in a day of on and off reading and its only 10 bucks. All in all there was a lot of useful information in there especially about the schooling portion and tons of helpfull tips to make it easier. I really like her 20 questions with the pros and cons of trucking.

Using the advice and tips in this book, I was able to breeze through trucking school, get my CDL, and find a job with a good company. There's no other trucking book that even comes close to this one in terms of practical advice for someone thinking about becoming a truck driver.

Imagine sitting at the kitchen table over coffee with an articulate and intelligent person who's just gone through the experience you are now considering. Meet the Author

Many thanks to all of you who have bought this book! Your response has been overwhelming! I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring this information to the attention of all of you who so desperately need it!

Yvonne Wright wrote this book after going through the commercial driving program at a large trucking company’s school and driving as a national company driver and a dedicated route driver for a large department store chain. She exposes how the company attempted to manipulate her to make choices that were only in the company’s best interests. She details this from very first phone call, through each step of the educational process, and how it continued in every interaction with the company.

This book is an invaluable aid to anyone who is thinking about becoming a truck driver. It will assist those who decide to drive a truck in each step of the process by presenting the consequences of each choice in a logical manner.
