Nikos Kiriakis came to Club Diamond with a friend. He had no intention of bidding on one of the buxom beauties available for the charity auction. Then he saw her- Ariana. She was the total pacjage from her coppery hair to her curvacious body. He had to have her. Winning the bid he whisks her off to his family island.
Ariana couldn't believe the billionaire busness man wanted her. He was gorgeous and rich and when he takes her to his family home she is overwhelmed. He lavishes her with gifts and seduces her with his wit and charm. Is a wekend enough to prove to Ariana that he wants to spend the rest of his life showing her how special she is ir will a woman from the past throw a wrench into his plans? Can Ariana trust her fragile heart to a former playboy and the kind of life she only heard about in movies.
Ariana was not happy, not happy at all. One of the women who were supposed to be auctioned off backed out at the last minute and her boss had talked her into taking the woman’s place. She had no interest in going on a date with a mystery man. There was too much on her plate. This was her second job and she went to night school to boot. Her schedule was full and she didn’t have time to date, even for charity. But cancer research held a special place in her heart. She’d lost her mother to the dreadful disease and in the end the money raised couldn’t have gone to a better place.
The auctioneer asked her to introduce herself since she was a last minute replacement he didn’t have her bio. She hated talking about herself but found it easier as long as she ignored the crowd and looked above the heads of the men standing near the stage. After introductions the man in charge started the bidding. Immediately a hand raised, then another. The bids became more generous as the emcee talked faster than she could keep up. She managed to stand straight beneath the hot lights wishing she was at least dressed like the other women. She was astonished that the bids were going so high dressed in her waitress uniform. She hoped they weren’t expecting anything beyond a nice dinner. She wasn’t into one night stands and that wouldn’t change even though it had been a long time since she’d been laid. She was brought out of her thoughts as the gavel came down three times and “Sold to the gentleman on the right”
She couldn’t quite see who’d won her but she was about to find out. All guests and the dates they’d bided on were meeting in the front bar area that was reserved for the meetings to take place.
She was escorted to the bar and shown to a table. The man sitting there stood up and her knees threatened to give way on her. To say he was beautiful would have been an understatement. He was taller, much taller than her five foot –eight. His raven colored hair was clipped short and his eyes were as dark as coffee.
“Hello.” he said in a slightly accented voice. “I’m Nikos Kiriakis.”
She shook the hand he offered, but instead of letting go he brought it to his lips and placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. She shivered from his brief touch.
“Please have a seat.” He gestured to the chair next to his. “What would you like to drink?”
“A white wine please.” she said sitting. He signaled for a server and placed their order.
“I have to admit when I came here tonight I hadn’t planned on participating in the auction.”
“What changed your mind?”
