    Seduced at Midnight

Jacquie D'Alessandro's latest book, Seduced at Midnight, was an easy read. I think that, while not up to the standards of her previous books, it was still enjoyable. The characters were well formed and their personalities jumped off the page, but the story line was a little lagging. When reading most of her books, I haven't been able to put them down. I get so caught up in the plot that I feel as if I am standing right there with them. Not so with this book. I was able to put it down and walk away whenever I wanted to. It didn't suck me in the way most other books do. But overall, it was a good book. For someone who likes historical romances but doesn't have the time to read a lot, I would recommend this book.

    Disapointing

I am a fan of Jacquie D'Alessandro and was disappointed with this book. I previously enjoyed the other books from this series, but I knew who "done it" before getting halfway through the book. I will purchase the next book.

As Gideon is so fond of summarizing things in one word, the word I have for this book--Delicious!

The author takes full advantage of the um, delicious situation our hero and heroine find themselves in and what we have is a hot, hot, hot story where the pages sizzled with their tension and passion, not to mention all that angst and internal conflict. I couldn't stop turning the pages and I finished the book in two days! (And only because I needed to sleep) I love Jacquie D'Alessandro's writing and I'm off to get the rest of the series!

    Seduced At Midnight

This book was a little difficult for me to get into at the beginning, but soon the mystery and romance got me hooked and I enjoyed it. I have Emily's book in my tbr pile

I couldn't put this book down. I didn't care what other responsiblities I had I just couldn't stop reading. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I think I found a new favored author. So much detail and thought went into the development of the characters and plot.

    Sorry.

Although I have enjoyed Ms. D'Alessandro's past books, this one did not inspire me to read the whole thing. I really would have liked to get to know the characters better. The hero was sympathetic, but didn't have an edge of anger that you would expect from the son of a thief who was on "the wrong side" of the law. We didn't see their quirky sides except with the dogs, and I wasn't sure that the heroine was really in danger until the last. They just weren't deep enough to hold my interest from the beginning.
