Kudos to Glass for crafting an entertaining paranormal romance -- one which draws on Egyptian mythology. The world-building is detailed, and Tia and Markus make a good couple. My only complaint is the shortness of the story; just ten more pages would have allowed for more development of the secondary characters and some foreshadowing of the villains' identities (as it was, the revelations came out of nowhere). Recommended to fans of Thea Harrison, Zoe Archer, or anyone looking for a solidly Pagan romance. -- lyradora

The Sons of Anubis (The Jackals) and the Daughters of Isis (The Witches) have always worked together in harmony, but now it seems the Witches are killing the Jackals. The Jackals plan on kidnapping a witch out of necessity since the some of the Jackals have become ill to the point of death, and some even dying. They need a witch, and the one they chose is not an ordinary witch. Tia is the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, but she feels weak, since she shows no outstanding powers that she should. Markus, the leader of the Jackals, knows that there is more to Tia, but he really needs her to leave the hatred of their people behind so she can save his friends and family from what ails them. What will happen when two sworn enemies join forces? Also, what will happen when they find out more than they ever imagined? This is a great fast-paced read that is difficult to put down. The passion, history and characters make you feel so many emotions like anger, hurt, and joy. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, and how she wrapped it in a tight bow, with a string that could lead to another book! I highly enjoyed Seducing the Jackal, and hope for a sequel. I will be putting Seressia Glass at the top of my list of books to look out for.

Sexy, easy read that will leave readers fully satisfied...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Many multi-cultural books are cliche’ and use a lot of slang and stereotypical behavior to make up for the lack of plot. Happily this was not the case with Seducing the Jackal. This book was a welcome surprise. I love mythology and history. The author used both to create a well-written action packed multi-cultural romance. Egyptian mythology hasn’t been used enough as a wonderful tapestry for paranormal and multi-cultural romance. I was glad Glass took the challenge and made that particular mythology brand such an integral part of Tina and Markus’s story. When Tia, the heroine and a member of the Daughter of Isis coven, is kidnapped she expects her captor to be a brute. However she’s surprised to find that her captor Markus, is devastatingly handsome, intelligent and the leader of Sons of Anubis. The chemistry between these two is amazingly explosive! The author does a great job of making it seem natural and not rushed. The conflict between The Sons of Anubis and The Daughters of Isis adds to the problems they face and has the potential to end their budding romance before it actually begins. I recommend this book and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it- the plot, the hero/the heroine (and the supporting characters), and the story’s foundation. Tia and Markus are honorable characters whose powers weren’t overzealous. They are great together (in bed and out). In summary this was a sexy, easy read that will leave readers fully satisfied. I’m excited that this book is part of a series and can’t wait to read the next story. -Reviewed by Juliette

My rating is based solely on the fact that I expect a BOOK!!! Not installments and bits and pieces.  I enjoyed other BOOKS by this author, and this one was as good, but the 75 pages is annoying.  Why not just wait until you have enough "bits" to make a book, a collection of short stories? UGH
