Overview

Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

Warning: contains explicit sex, profanity and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

I've found it! I've found the holy grail of our people! Ladies

I've found it! I've found the holy grail of our people!
Ladies, and even gents... I officially give Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec my stamp of approval! No. No. No.... not JUST my stamp of approval, but my OMG you MUST pick up this book right the hell right now stamp! If you never read another book again, you MUST read this one!

Also on the list of things you MUST do while reading Seduction And Snacks...

    1. Wear a panty-liner, or adult diaper depending on how often you do kegals. You WILL p!ss yourself!
    2. Grab a notebook, pen, and highlighter. You WILL find yourself repeatedly wanting to jot down a slew of the most a$$-tastic one-liners you've ever heard.
    3. Grab a friend. Trust me.. reading this together is far better than the way I did it, which included me texting my bff every five effing minutes, with an update or funny quote!
    4. Set your alarm clock BEFORE you start reading. Otherwise, you'll find yourself barely able to keep your eyes open at 4am, yet unable to pry your kindle from your cramped fingers and the next thing you know, you're kids have missed the bus on the first effing day of school.
    5. Buy batteries and chocolate. You'll thank me for that later, I PROMISE!!!!

And finally....The single, most important rule of reading Seduction and Snacks...
Share the love! Had a fellow blogger not turned me onto my new bible, I would have missed out on the read of a life-time. Share the word. Post links. Like Tara Sivec on facebook and for God's sake... leave a review, will ya???

i only wish there were more stars to give

I read this book in one day laughing hysterically the entire time. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys witty mean but well meant humor. Friendship between Claire and Liz reminded me of my relationship with my sister and I related to their hilarious name calling. My husband just stared at me shaking his head bc I was laughing so hard I couldnt breath.

DISCLAIMER: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT read this book while in pub

DISCLAIMER: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT read this book while in public, while consuming liquids or while your sweet and exhausted fiancé/boyfriend/husband is in bed asleep next to you. In public, you will be laughing out loud and looking like a complete FOOL. If you are drinking anything, it is sure to come out your nose or be spit out of your mouth. And you will definitely wake up said sleeping and now cranky fiancé/boyfriend/husband by laughing uncontrollably and shaking the bed. So funny. Literally laughed until I cried. I loved the characters and all of the movie references! It was awesome! It’s romantic, sweet, sassy, and fun. I absolutely loved it.

Best thing I've read in a long time!! A must-read for everyone!

I have never enjoyed a book more. The right amount of seduction and humor! This author is on my must read list! ♥ it. Very adult in nature and yet not overly smutty with sex scenes that seem to be thrown in out of context. This main character Claire is very relatable. You won't be sorry.

This book was hysterical. I read the book on the bus on my way to New York and that was a terrible idea. I could not stop cracking up laughing. People kept looking at me to see what was so funny. Ive never read a book that actually made me laugh so loud and throughout the whole book. Even the very first sentence I just knew this was going to be a great and hysterical book. Im glad my friend told me about it and said i have to read it. Im glad there are two more books after this and hope they are just as entertaining as this one was

Good read if your at home sick

It is an enjoyable read if you're looking for something light and easy. The characters are semi believible, I know some Jenny's a few Liz's and my boyfriend for sure is Carter. Only the characters Drew and Gavin were a little over the top for my liking. However aside from the few grammatical errors that I found, this book was a pretty good spring time read especially as I have been on bed rest this past week it for sure helped me pass the time.

I have never laughed out loud while reading a book like I did in

I have never laughed out loud while reading a book like I did in Seduction and Snacks. This book was the perfect read for anyone having a blah day! The passion, sarcasm, cleverness of Mrs. Sivec is contagious. The sex scenes are sizzling but the realistic humor is what gets you hooked on the first page. The characters are engaging and uncomplicated. Claire is the witty woman who swore to never have children but becomes the ultimate single mom after a one night stand with a guy that she never even got his name. Carter is the young man that never got over the sweet smelling women who stole his heart. Enter the four your old hilarious Gavin and you find yourself falling in love with this make shift family. I will never think of my Jack Rabbit the same. It will forever be the purple sword that has five speeds. If you need a good laugh pick upi this book you wont regret it.

Not as great as I'd been told, but not bad either.
That's pretty much how I felt when I finished this book.
After hearing from so many people that this was one hilarious book, it was a bit of a letdown for me.
But I have to admit that a lot of the humor isn't my style, particularly the overly precocious kid with a potty mouth that
would have had him in a perpetual time-out in my family.
The characters are mostly enjoyable (the before mentioned rug rat and horrid best friend of the male lead, being the major exceptions)
and the story moves in a pretty fast pace that keeps you reading to see what could possibly go wrong next.
One particular scene in a kitchen was the saving grace for the entire book simply because it was so OMG.
Plus, there aren't many authors that can write a scene where a guy gets so drunk he starts barking without going into ridiculous territory.
    So over all: not bad.

Claire despises children....she never wanted any. Until one night at a frat party she meets the most beautiful man she has ever seen...her words...hands him her V-card and nine months later. BAM! She has Gavin the foul mouthed little boy she loves...when she isn't thinking about selling him to the gypsies. Claire has looked for the past five years to find her mystery one night stand but to no avail hasn't come up with anything.

Carter has searched for the woman who occupies his thoughts and his senses. She smelled of chocolate and he can't seem to find the lotion or perfume...trust me he looked in every store. He remembers bits and pieces of that night but he can't seem to remember her face. Every woman he dated after his one night stand never measured up to his drunken encounter. One night in a bar he meets Claire, not knowing its her, he decides its time to stop thinking about his mystery girl.

I laughed out loud so much I cried and doubled over from laughter. I wanted to read it again as soon as I finished the book! I loved the movie references and the quick whit of Claire. Absolutely adored Gavin even his foul mouth! I cannot wait to read the second book and see where Claire, Carter, and Gavin go and what they do next. Hell I am even anticipating what Drew's shirts are gonna say next. I totally recommend this to everyone!

Oh. My. God. I am ill-equipped to review this book. Any words I have will not do it justice. It is rude, crude, and EXACTLY how I think. Only a lot more funny that I am in my own head. My friend, Author Tiffany King, realized this and actually purchased this for me to ensure I read it. And I didn't pick it up right away either. Several people suggested I wait until I was in a reading slump. So I did.

Holy hell this book is funny. I read it in one sitting. I couldn't stop. I don't think anyone in this book has a filter between their brain and their mouth. Which makes for some very awkward and uncomfortable situations for everyone.

The whole story is cute, crude, hilarious, and heartwarming. I suggest it to everyone, even if you don't think you like contemporary romance. At least give it a shot. :-)
