This is an entertaining Regency erotic fantasy

In London, Miranda Prosper is a spinster with no prospects. Thus when Corwin asks her to dance with him at a London ball, she is taken aback as no male of importance besides her family would be caught with her. Corwin and his BFF Darius are wizards concerned for prim and proper Prosper's safety as recently catalysts like her have vanished without a trace.

Corwin and Darius are attracted to their "student" who they must train to use her Catalyst power to save their people. She relishes her new role as she has two hunks wanting her though her desire for both does confuse her. As the triangle forges into a strong resolute bond, the weak cortex is not her; but instead Darius who distrusts everyone except Corwin.

This is an entertaining Regency erotic fantasy in which the ménage a trois heat the sheets while also having to save their species, which, if they fail, will become extinct. The world of Marissa Day is nicely developed so that the reader will feel we are in an early nineteenth century London thriving with paranormal activity. However, the key remains the triangle whose strongest angle proves to be Miranda Prosper as she goes from seduced trainee to seductress having two sorcerers dying to please her (and each other).

    Hot Read

She can build them up, tear them down, and bring them to the heights of passion. But she has no idea she has this power.

I'm not usually one for historicals. They just don't really do it for me. And then I found this book. Wow. It wasn't what I expected...it was more.

Marissa Day takes a normally overdone topic--sorcerers and Fae--and breathes new life into the idea. The Fae aren't the cute, sparkling beings I expected. It's great. Her writing style is fluid. The book starts with a bang and doesn't let up until the end. I wasn't completely sure which time period I was in in the book, but it wasn't a huge distraction. Corwin and Darius are great heroes. Both are totally different from what I expected and fun to read about. I wanted to see these two men get what they wanted, even if it meant each other.

I did have an issue with the heroine. From the get-go there were occurrences that I thought a woman with little to no sexual experience should be a lot more freaked out. Men with men is something that was totally taboo and yet it seemed to not faze her in the least. I liked that it didn't, but it was hard to fathom at the same time.

Ms. Day writes some page burning sex scenes. Whoa. I thought the book would spontaneously combust on a couple of occasions. I loved how Miranda, totally unschooled in the ways of sorcerers and catalysts, fell into the knowledge and experiences. It was like I went through them with her. Yeah, I'm still fanning myself.

If you want a book that has a ton of heat, equal parts heart and spice, then you need to read The Seduction of Miranda Prosper.

    Great story

From the cover you can't really tell but it's actually erotica - which surprised me - i thought it was more a paranormal romance. Luckily both are ok with me. Sometimes books with magic get a little too far out or the descriptions of the lore attached are too involved, but this one was such a good story you can suspend your disbelief a little and the erotic parts are super. I'll totally be ordering the next book she writes.
