Overview

Perfect for readers of Abbi Glines, Seduction returns to the Devil’s Den, a Texas strip club where hearts can’t hide when the chemistry is right.

The night Marisela Gonzalez rides up to the Devil’s Den on her motorcycle, running from trouble and looking for her sister, she finds more than a place to hide out and work her red-hot body. She meets a guy brave enough to stand by a tough, terrified nineteen-year-old girl who’s been in the wrong place with the wrong jerk one too many times. And he’s ready to show Marisela how a real man treats the woman he desires.

An ex-cop taking over as the club’s head of security, Craig Hanson can handle anything—except the urgent need he suddenly feels to hold Marisela tight. Commitment has never been his thing, but all that changes when Craig finds something too real to deny between them. Sensual and vulnerable, Marisela’s got a scary past. And when it comes knocking, Craig goes all in to protect her—because seduction is the ultimate game changer.

Praise for Seduction

“[Violetta] Rand’s redemption of Craig is believable and makes him incredibly sexy, especially since his sole purpose is to please Marisela in the bedroom by worshipping her body. The two can’t keep their hands off of each other if they are in close proximity; in fact, sometimes they can’t even make it to the bedroom!”Heroes and Heartbreakers

5 star If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Surrender (Devil's Den, #1) This is Marisela and Craig’s story. Craig is a player.  Marisela is young and has trouble following her.  She had a crush on Craig but he wanted her sister so that makes everything a little weird at first.  But the sparks between these two fly everything they are together.  Can Craig protect her from not only her past but also herself?  Can they overcome all the obstacles of having a relationship in order to have each other’s love in the end? I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

This is the second book in the Devil's Den series. I would recommend reading them in order but you could probably read this one without reading the first. Robyn was the heroine in the first book and the heroine in this book is Marisela, her sister. She is young only recently becoming of age. She comes to the Devil's Den to get a job as a stripper. The sparks fly. Craig is taken with her. I like them together buuuuutttt the fact that he liked Robyn first kind of freaked me out a little. If you like your romance to have some serious steam and a decent plot too, these books are for you. ;-) I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Running from the past from the one that broke her from the one that has taken away everything from her Marisela goes back to The Devils Den to be with her sister and become what her mother so hated... A stripper. What she doesn't expect is to get into trouble the moment she steps off her bike. Craig the protector of the women that dance in the club and yeah the one that usually warms their beds, never expects to see the one person that he could never have the sister of the woman he once loved ~ Marisela. He knows that this woman will be the one that takes him down, if only he could get her to see it that way and not run. Seduction is a story of choices and the consequences of those choices. The right ones are worth the fight and the happiness it will bring. The wrong choices may bring you pain and suffering. In the end the choices we make whether bad or good make us who we are. But some bad choices are just dangerous. Meeting the wrong man Marisela has major trust issues, she does give it easily because she doesn't trust in our own choices to make the right one. Craig has to show her that he is the right choice for her and how much he wants them to be together regardless of the past. Excitements awaits you as you read this energized sexy book. Marisela is stronger than she believes which makes you connect with her the most. Craig is the alpha that has to find his way back to where he was before where his calling is and this make you love him more as you read along. His transformation is the best part of the book for me at least. I can't wait to read more of this series!!!

Marisela Gonzalez’s luck with men has been terrible in her short life. She is running from her abusive ex-boyfriend, so she heads over to the Devil’s Den strip club where her sister used to work, determined to take charge of her own life. However, Marisela soon finds herself in trouble once again, ending up at the wrong place at the wrong time messing with the wrong guy. Unexpectedly, she crosses paths with a guy who is brave enough to stand up to her even when she tries to push him away. She begins to believe she is not too much of a damaged girl. Maybe she needs one particular man in her life more than she ever thought she would. Craig Hanson is an ex-cop now head of security at The Devils Den strip club, he has been a player for a long time. Commitment has been never in his future. So when he discovers this urgent need to hold and protect Marisela Gonzales he doesn’t know what to do with these feelings. She is the little sister of his ex-girlfriend now turned close friend, and she is only nineteen. But he can’t seem to resist her tough girl attitude and their instant chemistry is undeniable. He knows there is something else there behind her tough girl persona. What is she hiding? He plans to show her how a real man treats the woman he loves; he will protect and cherish her even when she tries so desperately to push him away. My Review: This is book two in The Devil’s Den series, we met Marisela and Craig in book one. He was lusting after her sister Robyn and Marisela was an innocent teen struggling to find her place in the world. We only got a quick glimpse of these two in the first book, but I could tell that Marisela had a crush on Craig. At the time, he only had eyes for Robyn. Even though Craig sounded like a big ole jerk, I knew there was something more to him. Finding out more about Craig in this book was amazing, he had his arrogant moments but deep down he is a good guy looking for a love. With Marisela, it took a little more for me to get into her as a character. I understood she went through a lot in her young life, the way she pushed even her sister away seemed a little unrealistic to me. When I found out about her past, I was shocked that she went through so much on her own. I guess I was just as frustrated as Craig, trying to get into Marisela’s head. When she opened up and let people in it was a beautiful thing. No one could deny these two had chemistry from the start, the sex scenes were hot, the author threw in a little BDSM I loved it. I actually thought this book was better than the first, it had a fuller story. Where the first book at times seemed a little rushed, this one had a better flow to it. The Gonzales sister’s sure know how to find trouble, definitely made for an exciting read. Loved the epilogue. I am very glad I stuck with this series the author did a better job with this one than the first one for sure, the goal is always to get better as a writer I believe. I am looking forward to delving into Macey’s story. Though she pretends to have it all together, I am thinking she is a bit of a hot mess. Can’t wait to find out. *RECEIVED AN ARC FROM NETGALLEY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW *

Violetta Rand writes addictive, steamy books that will suck you in and keep you turning the pages until the very end. Emotional and captivating, Seduction has wonderful characters with real flaws, real strengths, and real passion. Violetta Rand's books have every possible thing a reader wants in a book... angst, anger, fear, jealousy, guilt, heartache, drama, sadness, romance, secrets, lies, pure unadulterated lust, swoon worthy moments, and a great plot line. For anyone looking for a story of that has passion, suspense, turmoil, and so much more, you need to read this book.

I’ve enjoyed this series so far. This can be read as a standalone, however reading Surrender first, will help you understand the characters better. I always appreciate catching up with characters in a connected series such as this.  We met Maricela in Surrender when she was almost seventeen. Now, she is nineteen and her life has been completely derailed. She was the picture perfect daughter, but once she left home and went to college, she searched to break out of that mold and it came back to bite her. She was dating the hot jock that everybody wanted. When he turned on her, she didn’t have the strength physically or mentally to leave him and instead let him completely uproot her life. She’s finally escaped from him and run to Corpus, where her sister lives, looking to follow in her footsteps and take a job stripping at The Devil’s Den. Right away, she causes herself some trouble and her past is hunting her down.  She met Craig when she was younger and had a lingering crush on him. However, seeing as how he used to be in love with her sister, he is quite the manwhore, she is understandably wary of him.  Craig is finally over Robyn, so he’s frustrated when he finds himself inexplicably drawn to Maricela. He’s content with his life, although he has a lingering desire to find his way back to being a cop after an incident caused him to resign several years before. It doesn’t take long for Craig to realize that he would give up just about anything for Maricela. Unfortunately, she is still so young, and has a lot of growing up to do.  He’s determined to protect her from her past and the stupid decisions she is currently making, but Maricela doesn’t make it easy for him. They practically spontaneously combust when they are together, but outside of their chemistry there are a lot of obstacles in their way as they reach for that happily ever after.  In Surrender, Craig kind of goes back and forth between being someone the reader is frustrated and annoyed with, to someone they have sympathy for in having lost his love. When we get to Seduction, the author brings out the good immediately and I forgot all about anything negative from the last book. He is an ultimate alpha, overbearing and over protective at times, but he is also sweet and caring, and he falls head over heels for Maricela. His love for her gives him more patience and for the most part, his overprotective attitude was justly warranted.  Honestly, Maricela was a little harder for me to accept. For a young woman to be with someone sis years older than her, they usually display a more developed level of maturity. I didn’t feel this was the case with Maricela. Especially considering what she had experienced with her ex, I was quite surprised at the tantrums and irrational decisions. However, I still like her and I liked her and Craig as a couple.  The story is by no means boring, there is a lot to keep you interested. It moves quickly and with purpose, giving it a nice flow. The ending was just a little abrupt for me. However, this was completely due to my issues with Maricela’s maturity. Despite that, I really enjoyed the book and I would recommend the series. It was definitely a solid 4 stars!

4.5 stars. Second book in this series. Storyline was intriguing, fast-paced, and sizzling hot. Craig is head of the club's security. He's one sexy, bossy, smooth talking man-whore whose latest attraction is Marisela. There's something more than the usual thing that he sees in her. He finds himself wanting to protect and take care of her. Running from her past and scared to trust, Marisela struggles to deny their mutual attraction is more than just sexual. Loved their characters and chemistry. Enjoyable read. Can't wait for more in this series. Received an ARC copy from Netgalley for a honest review.

Intense, Fast-Paced and Romantically Charged Nineteen year old Marisela Gonzalez arrives back in her home town running from a very abusive relationship. On the exterior her demeanor emits a self-assured leather clad motorcycle riding sexy siren. Internally she’s vulnerable, frightened for her life and embarrassed to admit to her family what she has been up to because as far as they were concerned she was supposed to be in college. She arrives at Devil’s Den, a strip club looking for her sister that worked there as a dancer. After an altercation at the door with a gang member, she reacquaints with Craig Hanson, head of security and someone she secretly crushed on before she left town but also someone who had been in lust with her sister. Craig can’t take his eyes off of Marisela and the attraction is mutual. Craig takes Marisela to see her sister who is now married and pregnant. After her sister’s shock of finding out that Marisela has not been in college and a few other surprising revelations, Marisela is wondering if she may have made a mistake coming back home. When Craig overhears a disturbing phone conversation between Marisela and her crazy ex-boyfriend, his need to protect her takes over and he intervenes. The sexual magnetism between them is powerful and he just can’t resist her; their chemistry is undeniable and he pursues her. She acquiesce is advances despite her recent turmoil as Craig is fierce, dominant and possessive. Their relationship is nothing of the ordinary, full of passion, secrets, drama and regret. But Craig slowly thaws her heart despite her knowing his history and he stops at nothing to eradicate her terrorizing past that continues to re-surface. Both of them are deeply flawed but learn together the power of love and trust.  Wow! I could not put this book down. It was intense, fast-paced and romantically charged. I was captivated right to the nail-biting end.  4 stars *An advance reading copy of Seduction A Devil’s Den Novel by Violetta Rand was provided to me from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I will start by reminding that this is the second book in the Devil's Den Series. It stands well on it's own but if you can read the  first book so you understand the back stories. In this installment Ms. Rand brings us Marisela and Craig's story. Marisela is a 19 year old running from trouble when she shows up at the Devil's Den one night. The Den is the strip club where her sister worked. She rides in on her motorcycle and walks into the middle of a fight between a patron and a club bouncer. She helps the bouncer out by breaking a beer bottle  over the patron's head. Enter the man that Marisela has had the hots for since first meeting him. she is back in town and has a ton of secrets. No one in her family has heard from her in months. Craig, is the bouncer. He was a cop. He thought he was in love with Marisela's sister. (Back story) Is Craig the one that can rock her world , protect her from her bat ass crazy ex, and break through the walls that she has built to protect her little bad self? Tune in to find out! I found the character's well rounded and the ones you like you love, the ones you hate you want to castrate! I look forward to reading more by Ms. Rand she tells a wonderful story, full of hot sex, humor and just enough adventure to  keep you interested through the whole book!

While I've never been much of a fan of the biker romance sub-genre, this one works and and it works well. The plot is good, the attraction between Marisela and Craig works, and the plot is believable, as is the stalking element. Although this is #2 in Ms. Rand's Devil's Den series, it's the first one of her novels I've read, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I'll definitely follow this series--Ms. Rand knows how to craft an excellent page-turner.

Loving this series. Craig, we met in the first story when he was trying to have a relationship with Robyn and she was not into him at all. Marisela has grown up a lot since that first book and Craig has taken notice. The story had me hooked from beginning to end, I loved the interaction between Craig and Marisela and their chemistry is hot. Overall this is one hot entertaining read!

The second book in the Devil’s Den series is focusing on Robyn’s sister Marisela.  In this story, Violetta Rand makes some interesting choices for her characters as we continue this New Adult romance series.  Marisela is running from an abusive ex, Esteban. While not graphic in the details of that less than savory relationship, Rand presents enough detail to let readers see Marisela’s life, and bring her some empathy.   Until she keeps contact with him. Now, I understand the psychological damage and manipulations that happen in abusive relationships, but leaving him behind should have shut the door. She just didn’t get that memo.   Marisela is difficult to appreciate: I initially thought I could like her, she was brave enough to try and strike out away from what was known (if not comfortable) and was trying to redefine herself. But, her redefinition was  almost a full-scale cloning of her sister Robyn’s approach and attitude: making her prickly and not particularly  intriguing.   For his part, Craig was an all too typical frat-boy type, with posturing and crass phrasing that hid what was not a  bad guy underneath. As in the first story, I still have difficulty with the backstory for him, although his past as a cop made him more believable as head of security.   I just found him limited, and here is my real problem with  the story: language.  Now, I’m no prude, and I have a mouth like a sailor, but there is crude ‘boy speak’ that wholly shows a character’s limitation with language and attempts to impress, and then there is just crude – where  crass steps in to ramp up the rawness of the plot without providing an equal balance in emotional connection. Sadly, this feels more like the second example.  Another disconnect is the frequent head-hopping, without full development for an emotional oomph for readers. I didn’t find that Marisela and Craig had anything more to offer one another than a hook up here and there: and  why would they? Their interactions, with Marisela trying to find ‘herself’ and her quick responses to Craig, even  with her issues, just didn’t feel honest or plausible to me, and his knowing her history but rushing in white  knight like also didn’t work. Logic would dictate that both are hesitant and concerned about the danger from her ex. Neither are. And the danger and tension surrounding that whole subplot just felt flat and unbelievable to  me.  There is attraction and smexy times, much of which is hot and steamy. It was far more passive for me, as I didn’t feel the characters sparked off one another to make me feel their desires or needs.  There wasn’t the angst that I felt in the first book, so it was harder for me to believe in the more dramatic moments. And while I didn’t dislike  either Marisela or Craig greatly, I didn’t find the head-hopping helped me to form solid opinions about either character: there were moments of ‘that won’t end well’ thoughts that never quite came to pass in the plot.  It’s not a bad story, it’s just not enough for me to grab onto and need to see more.  I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This is the kind of story that when you have to put it down for whatever reason you can’t stop thinking about it and you’re rushing to get back to it because you need to know what happens next. Rand gives an indepth look at a side of life many of us never see or experience.  She does so in a captivating manner with an unforgettable story.  I love this author’s writing style.  She brings this world to life in such a vividly real manner that you don’t simply read it, you experience it.  This novel left me with tears in my eyes at the end.  They were happy tears, but having seen what the characters endured throughout…   The dual perspectives in the first person gives the reader lots of insight into both of the main characters.  I loved the changes in Craig since the 1st novel in the series.  He’s grown into a fantastic individual with still a hind of the bad-boy-player we know him as.  I love how Rand portrays dancers (and other club employees) as real people who work their jobs for a myriad of reasons, rather than as second class citizens.   This was a hard hitting, insightful story that is also exciting & hot.  Rand kept me hooked throughout this one.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others, and will definitely be reading it again (many times) in the future. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 Stars We met both Marisela and Craig in Surrender. Marisela is Robyn’s leather-wearing, bike-riding younger sister, back in  town with trouble on her heels. Craig is a former cop, now the head of security at The Den and a ladies man. In the previous book, he was interested in Robyn and now he sees Marisela after almost two years, he finds himself attracted to her. He is hesitant to pursue his attraction to her because of Robyn and also because she is much younger. Seduction was more intense because of the issues in the story. Marisela is on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend and returns to Corpus where she takes a job at The Den as a stripper, with Craig appointing himself as her protector. Soon they begin a relationship that is filled with passion, secrets and tons of drama. On the outside, Marisela appears to be a sexy leather-clad vixen, but on the inside she is a scared and scarred young woman who is afraid to admit her mistakes and seek help. Craig shows a warm, protective  and possessive side to him and I really liked that he was willing to go to any lengths to keep her safe. The story was filled with angst, with the psycho ex taking center-stage. As with Surrender, there were a few things that were off, but at the heart of Seduction is a story of two very imperfect people being drawn together by a powerful force – love. *I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. Violetta Rand has done it again! eArc provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. If you like your romances, hot and well written, then SEDUCTION will be perfect for you! I really enjoyed this book, written by Violetta Rand! It was sexy and sizzling! It's the second story in the Devil's Den series. Sparks will flare again for her strong-minded heroine Marisela and hot alpha hero Craig who is head of security at the Devil's Den. They were the perfect match for each other. Beautiful sensual chemistry between them, some ups and downs, but a fun couple. The storyline is very well written with some very erotic scenes. Will seduction be part of their game? This fun romantic story will be released on March 17th. Looking forward to reading her third story SIN to be released next May!
