Megan Hazely wants to breeze into her hometown for her mother's wedding and slip back out before anyone really notices she's there. Unfortunately, Riverbed is still the small town she abandoned. Anything worth noting is gossip-worthy. No one can resist speculating on the sparks likely to fly between the hometown girl and the boy she left behind. And the boy she once loved has become a man. Time hasn't lessened the chemistry between them, but what life did she leave?
Aiden Blake hasn't been holding a torch for Megan after all this time. He's moved on. Doesn't matter no other woman has caught his eye in the same way. Means nothing. Unfortunately, now that she's back everyone believes it means a lot. Maybe, now, the hometown boy will once again find happiness with the one woman he's loved for all his life. A damn misguided idea. She plans to blow out of town before her mother's bouquet starts to wither.
One unlikely indiscretion makes them question the past and what the future may hold. Megan must deal with the troubles she left behind, and, somehow leave again with her heart intact. It may not be possible. Aiden is intent on making her see all the things she'll be missing.
Will Megan stay to find out or will she run again?
Aiden had the vase before Megan could think to catch it.
"Where did that come from?"
"The drool on the side of your mouth when you watched me lick my lips." Aiden shrugged and kept the pace of their slow walk. Megan had no idea where they were going, but she was sure half the town would know when they left downtown. She rolled her shoulders at the uncomfortable feeling of being watched. Though she couldn't see anyone looking directly at them, Megan knew her hometown. At least five people could read lips a mile away, and after his comment those five people would tell five more people that they were headed to Aiden's secret place for a rendezvous.
"Aren't you arrogant?"
Aiden stopped and moved in front of her. He leaned in close to her ear and said, "You're curious." He took her lobe into his mouth, doing things with tongue and teeth that proved him right. She was curious. He laid a kiss on her neck, then said, "Your curiosity is going to bite you in the ass one of these days."
But could you bite me first? Megan coughed to clear her throat and reached for the vase, taking it from his hands. "And what are you getting from this?"
He took another step toward her and reached out, touching the apex of her throat. Her heartbeat sped under his fingertips. "I want you to..."
"You want me to what?"

157 Pages. Did not like it much through the first half of the book but got better in the second half. It was okay. Not the authors best work to say the least. I enjoyed her other books alot more. It was free so I will not complain. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
