One of the best training books I've ever seen

This book is nothing short of amazing. It¿s written and illustrated by Benjamin, and I absolutely love her simple graphics that so perfectly illustrate her simple wisdom. Her illustration on what a dog¿s body language is saying comes under the category of ¿a picture is worth a thousand words.¿ This book is basic training and communication distilled into a book so simple children will understand the message.

This simple lesson is stunning in its effectiveness: ¿Your most important training tools cannot be purchased. They are voice, posture, and attitude.¿ Throughout this book, there is no discussion of types of training, no clickers, no long leads to teach stay, no Gentle Leaders, ¿just¿ a lot of sensible stuff in a small, incredibly accessible package. This book makes an excellent refresher for all of us, and is a perfect must-have gift for people getting their first dog or puppy, or their first one in a long time.

As the former editor of the member newsletter of the Dog Writers Association, I have reviewed numerous training books, and this is hands down one of the best I've seen. This is a keeper for life.
