Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kristin Harris
Everyone in every nation sees the night sky and the stars. The stars are in patterns that make pictures. The good first star to find is Polaris, the North Star. That one never moves and tells us where we are. The Big Dipper is made up of seven stars and is part of the Great Bear. The Little Dipper is the Little Bear. Taurus the Bull and Cassiopeia the Queen are other constellations. The stars in the constellation Cygnus the Swan form a cross. Pegasus the flying horse is made up of stars that form a square and a triangle. There is a dragon constellation with a long curvy tail and Leo the Lion is made up of stars that look like a backward question mark. You are never alone with so many stars on view. The sky tells a story. Bright illustrations show children from all over the world under night skies with many stars. Kids play on the beach on a tropical island. Kids sit by a campfire in the woods looking up at the stars. Kids celebrate the Chinese New Year with huge dragon and lion puppets on sticks. The stars in the night sky are printed in foil ink and the constellations being referenced are connected with lines.
