FROM THE BACK COVER:

Who am I?

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen and I'm about to die.

I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me. I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking.

Some will say that I m not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen. I'm about to die.

So who are you?

In a return to the kind of storytelling that made Black, Showdown and Three unforgettable, Ted Dekker drags that question into the light with this modern day parable about how we see ourselves.

Humming with intensity and blindsided twists, Eyes Wide Open is raw adrenaline from the first page to the last pure escapism packed with inescapable truth. Not all is as it seems. Or is it? Strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Literally. (Young Adult)

I hated this book! I liked/loved the other 3 (some more than others) but the direction this took...no thank you! I am assuming it's leading up to another series but I have no desire to continue reading. This could have had a really cool twist ending but it just didn't. Also - what's with all the typos...obviously missing or wrong words in sentences. That annoys me to no end!

Enjoyed the entire series. Dekker always changes the way you think, and makes you question reality. I'll be honest though. I was a little disappointed how the book ended. (Spoiler alert, don't read this part if you haven't read these books yet.) Ted had promised a whole new series and story. Instead, we ended up getting another Showdown book. I enjoyed parts of the Showdown series and I felt like this might be going in that direction. So, when the end finally came, I was disappointed. I personally think the Circle needs to come to an end. Showdown and now Eyes Wide Open are still all Circle stuff. Trust me, I loved the first three circle books. I even liked the smaller books like Renegade and the others, but I just think its time to stop making some many other books which connect back to the circle series. Especially, when a new series is promoted as something new. Again, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this book, and a always can't wait to read another book by Ted. I was just disappointed to see this new series connected back to Showdown and the Circle Series.

Book 1# 2# and 3# amazing. 4# on the other hand. Mr.Dekkers AKA (Teddy) not his best.lol. I read his series (Lost) and in comparison like I said not his best. But to complete the series I would read this book it still has a few twist and turns. Just because I am big fan I give it a 5# rating.

I could see how we struggle with letting go of ourselves and who we think we are. We do go in these circles in our relationship with God. We give a little but we hold back, but when we finally give up being in contol of our lives what freedom we have.

Spoiler alert: Loved books 1-3., but this last book left me going, "Huh? What did I miss?" Light, Lamps, Monks, Memory wipes. It was very convoluted and very unsatisfying, although I did like the spiritual uplifting aspect of forgiveness and we are all beautiful.

Kept reading the first 3 & kept wondering what it was all about. Got to book 4 & still couldn't understand fully what the end meant unless its just that some people don't understand life.

Another great book from Ted Dekker. It spoke volumes of how easily we believe a lie that we can not be loved because of how we see ourselves in the mirror. In the light of God's eyes we are beautiful and loved and we should never forget that and believe the lie again!
