Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast at night to help pay for her younger sister's education. To keep friends and family from finding out about her sexy secret, she's put her social life on hold until her sister's education is paid off and she can stop filming the webcast.

Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie Barber when he met her a year ago, and he hasn't been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about the feisty little brunette, from her tight bod to her seductive smile, cuts straight to his heart. Though Lizzie has turned down every invitation he's extended--Blue is not about to give up trying.

Renovating Lizzie's kitchen brings Blue further into Lizzie's life, and the oven is not the only thing heating up. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything. But when Lizzie's secret is revealed and the safe bubble she's hidden in shatters, true love may not be enough to put the pieces back together.

THERE WERE SOME nights when Lizzie Barber simply didn’t feel like donning an apron, black-framed glasses, and high heels, covering her shiny brunette locks with a blond wig, and prancing around nearly naked. Tonight was one of those nights. Gazing at her reflection in the mirror of her basement bathroom, Lizzie tucked the last few strands of her hair beneath the wig and forced her very best smile. Thank God her elfin lips naturally curled up at the edges—even when she wasn’t smiling, she looked like she was. And tonight she definitely wasn’t in the mood to smile. Her oven had been acting up for the last few nights, and she prayed to the gods of all things sugary and sweet that it would behave tonight.

Tightening the apron tie around her neck and the one around her waist, to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, and tugging on the hem of the apron to ensure her skin-colored thong and all her naughty bits were covered, she went into the studio—aka the miniscule kitchen located in the basement of her cute Cape Cod cottage—and surveyed her baking accoutrements one last time before queuing the intro music for her webcast and pasting that perfectly perky smile back in place.

“Welcome back, my hot and hunky bakers,” she purred into the camera. “Today we’re going to bake delicious angel food cupcakes with fluffy frosting that will make your mouth water.” She leaned forward, flashing the camera an eyeful of cleavage and her most seductive smile as she crooked her finger in a come-hither fashion. “And because we all know it’s what’s beneath all that delicious frosting that counts, we’re going to sprinkle a few surprises inside the thick, creamy centers.”

Lizzie had mastered making baking sound naughty while in college, when her father had taken ill and her parents had closed their inn for six months to focus on his medical care, leaving Lizzie without college tuition. Her part-time job at a florist shop hadn’t done a darn thing for her mounting school loans, and when a friend suggested she try making videos and monetizing them to earn fast cash, she drew upon her passion for baking and secretly put on a webcast called Cooking with Coeds. It turned out that scantily clad baking was a real money earner. She’d paid for her books and meal plan that way, and eventually earned enough to pay for most of her college tuition. Lizzie had two passions in life—baking and flowers, and she’d hoped to open her own floral shop after college. After graduation, Cooking with Coeds became the Naked Baker webcast, and she’d made enough money to finish paying off her school loans and open a flower shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts, just like she’d always dreamed of. She hadn’t intended to continue the Naked Baker after opening P-town Petals, but when her parents fell upon hard times again and her younger sister Maddy’s educational fund disappeared, the Naked Baker webcast became Lizzie’s contribution to Maddy’s education. Their very conservative parents would have a conniption if they knew what their proper little girl was doing behind closed doors, but what other choice did she have? Her parents ran a small bed-and-breakfast in Brewster, Massachusetts, and with her father’s health ping-ponging, they barely earned enough money to make ends meet—and affording college for a child who had come as a surprise to them seven years after Lizzie was born had proven difficult.

Lizzie narrowed her eyes seductively as she gazed into the camera and stirred the batter. She dipped her finger into the rich, creamy goodness and put that finger into her mouth, making a sensual show of sucking it off. “Mm-mm. Nothing better than thick, creamy batter.” Her tongue swept over her lower lip as she ran through the motions of creating what she’d come to think of as baking porn.

Made it to page 60 before I stopped. Seemed like a decent idea for a story but it couldn't keep my interest. Too slow and silly.

Definitely not a cliffhanger! Lizzie is a solutionist. She found a way to pay for college, open her own florist business, and she is putting her younger sister through college. Her solution is a little salacious but it is legal, and she is not hurting anyone else. Blue fell for Lizzie ar a wedding a year ago. For a year he tried to get her on a date... no luck. Lizzie kept saying "NO" but he kept on asking until the day she finally said, "YES"... Blue had a trust issue after a failed relationship. Lizzie had a secret.... Could Blue trust Lizzie after she revealed her secret? I guess you'll have to read it to find out!!

Any Melissa Foster reader will be delighted with the start of this new series – which again intertwines previously introduced characters into a new run of stories. I really enjoyed this book, because although we can be certain that things will be resolved (after all we are in it for the romance!), there were times ... when self-sabotage, on both fronts, looked to be a serious contender to win out. I liked that Lizzie's business acumen was recognised and celebrated, even if it was due to an unexpected venture. There were plenty of hot, sexy moments – there was no shortage of chemistry, once they let go, that is for sure. There was enough angst to be interesting, without it becoming repetitive, and some wonderful humour too. The whole cast made it a fuller book, and as the rest of the Ryder clan fall through the series, I will be cheering along with them. Thank you Ms. Foster for another sexy, atmospheric and entertaining read. This review was written by Ruthie on the Wicked Reads Review Team. Lizzie owns and operates a flower shop which is a 24/7 demand yet she also tapes, edits and retapes as needed, webcasts which air three times a week. She does this because her younger sister needs tuition to stay in college. There's no mention of the sister or the parents helping in any way to fund this education. The author doesn't seem to know how to express herself accurately. Lizzie sacrifices by "putting her non-existent social life on hold." How does one put something that doesn't exist on hold? It's supposed to be sexy that Blue's voice "slithered" over her skin, but sounds disgusting. Blue is very handsome and intelligent, but he sounds oafish when he bumps her shoulder then says he "forgot how petite" she is. Lizzie sounds whiny and insecure when she asks "why do you want to date me so badly?" Lizzie thinks of her father as "weighed down with a strict set of morals", why? Because he cares about his daughters and hopes to spare them heartbreak? After telling us repeatedly how attracted she is to Blue suddenly Lizzie is "surprised by the fluttering in her stomache" when Blue wants to walk. After telling Blue that her mother wouldn't approve of her skimpy shorts he tells her "Slutty has more to do with attitude than clothing." Given Lizzie's "Lick it list" and "F*ck it list" and her thoughts of licking strawberries and whipped cream from Blue's abs not long before this statement is nonsense. Attitudes are shown in how we dress. I chose to not finish this. I cannot recommend it. There are much better written books worth reading.

Seized By Love is the first book in The Ryders, the newest mini-series in Melissa Foster's bestselling Love in Bloom series. The only other mini-series I've read is Harborside Nights, but the previously released mini-series are all on my to-be-read list, so I'm hoping to get through each of those once my review schedule clears up (because there are A LOT that have already been published). Luckily, this series starter did quite well as a standalone, and while you do become curious about Cash Ryder and Siena Remington's love story, you'll be fine without having any previous knowledge of it. But yeah, add it to your TBR list. ♥ Blue Ryder first came off as this really ideal guy. In short, he was the perfect book boyfriend. But then when Lizzie's secret comes out in the open, his reaction proves that he is human after all, which then makes him more worthy of admiration. Why? I'll always go for the guy who makes mistakes but owns up to them rather than the guy who makes no mistakes at all...because that guy doesn't exist, people. Blue redeems himself and I loved how he never wavered when it came to his being in love with her even as he struggled with dealing with her revelation of being the online baking sensation known as the Naked Baker. Lizzie Barber was resilient and intelligent, doing what was needed in order to fend for herself while in college, and later on, for her younger sister. She doesn't glamorize what she does as the Naked Baker and I liked that there was a push and pull going on, especially after she met Ryder. She wasn't exactly proud about being what she was doing in her videos but she was proud about coming up with a way to make money that wasn't illegal and wasn't using anyone. Your heart breaks for her when she and Ryder go through the challenges caused by the whole Naked Baker fiasco, but you admire her for her inner strength. With both Blue and Cash Ryder getting their love stories told, there are four more Ryder siblings waiting in the wings--Duke, Trish, Gage, and Jake--and this first book in The Ryders has certainly made me ready and raring to learn more about this close-knit family composed of five brothers and a sister who live their own lives while still being supportive of each other. If you're nervous about the number of books the Love in Bloom series has, don't worry about having to read all of them before starting Seized By Love because you can go ahead and read this and go through the rest later on. I'm giving book one 4.5 stars out of five. ♥

I have enjoyed quite a few books by Ms. Foster, but this one was stupid and annoying, and I had to push myself to finish it.

Another great book by Melissa. It is had to pick who my favourite is right now Luke Braden from Taken by Love or Blue Ryder. Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast by night to help pay for her little sister’s education. To keep from her family and friends finding out about her secret she puts her social life on hold until her sister’s education is paid off. Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie when he met her a year ago and hasn’t been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about her cuts straight to his heart. Thought she has turned down every invitation to go out with him. With renovating Lizzie’s kitchen brings Blue further into her life. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything, but when her secret is revealed and the safe bubble she has hidden in shatters. True love may not be enough to put the pieces back together. Not many guys would be so understanding of their girlfriend’s secret but after his initial reaction wore off, he was able to appreciate her motivation and business skills. I love that he is so open about how he feels about her. Every time I finish one of Melissa’s books I want more. I fall in love with every character and get to know them. I am looking forward to the rest of the Ryder sibling’s stories. **CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

Lizzy and Blue love story. A little too much plot before she shares her secret for my taste but the journey was amazing. I highly recommend this book!

This is another great book from Melissa Foster. What was different for me this time around was that this is the only Melissa Foster book where I didn't like all of the characters right from the beginning. Blue Ryder...I can honestly say that in the beginning I didn't like him. But by the end of the book, he had totally won me over. When It comes to Blue and Lizzie however it's a very interesting and hot story! One that you will absolutely love. This story has it's ups and downs, which is something that I loved about it. Like in life everything is not always perfect 100% of the time. I really like books like that and that's why I really like Melissa Foster! This book is the first in this series and I already know I can't wait for the next one. I did receive this product discounted or free of charge in exchange for a review, however all opinions are 100% honest based on my own experience.

I had been waiting patiently for Blue's story. The wait was so worth it! I've read all the current Seaside books and this is where I first met Blue the close friend of Sky. I have to say that I secretly wanted Sky and Blue to get together, but now I'm glad they didn't. Lizzie was also one of my favorite characters from the Seaside books. She was always the spunky friend that you wanted to learn more about. Well, you are in for a treat. Not only does Lizzie run her own successful flower shop, but she also manages to make, edit, and upload her own baking show on the web. It's not your everyday baking show though, it's called the Naked Baker. She's not altogether naked though....just a little bit. Enough to keep the viewers active and interested. Lizzie is only doing this to help with her sisters school expenses. As soon as she has put away enough money, she plans on ending the web show. See...Lizzie doesn't want anyone to find out what she's doing. She's pretty sure their reactions will not be favorable. Blue Ryder has been carrying a torch for Lizzie for a while now. He hasn't made it a secret, but Lizzie keeps turning her down. He just doesn't understand why. It was really entertaining to read how the two of these would flirt with each other. There was no secret how one felt about the other. I look forward to many more best sellers from Ms. Foster. Seized by Love was just as entertaining to read as the very first Melissa Foster book I picked up. Hot, steamy, and full of some of the most sexiest characters around. That being said, they are also the group of friends I would love to be a part of

Wearing an apron will burn you with desire I loved this story of Lizzie and Blue. Blue is so consistent of asking her for a date for a year until Lizzie finally said yes. Their chemistry is hot than the burning stove. Blue and Lizzie are both hard workers. Lizzie has a heart of gold. This girl is not only beautiful but she is very sweet. I admired her so much for helping her little sister with her education. This big sister will do anything for her little sister to success in her life. She has a secret which will change your idea on wearing an apron. It will burn you with desire when you wear it just like Lizzie. Blue is a very sweet and very hot guy. This guy has many talents. I adored him too. He is such a perfect boyfriend that a girl can love. I also loved how his family are so close with each other. Ms. Melissa Foster's books are really great books to read. This story is a heart wrenching, sweet and very hot too. Love is patience and willing to forgive. Blood also is thicker than water. Blue and Lizzie's story is one of a kind to read.

Blue and Lizzie are a great couple that I really enjoyed reading about. They are fun and very easy to relate to. It was a fast read for me because I was able to get into the story like I do almost all of Melissa Foster's books. She is able to keep a person in the story and her books are not repetitive but fresh and fun. I really loved this read.

Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber are such a fun couple! I loved getting to know them in Seized by Love. I think Lizzie and I could be friends. I could eat all of her leftover baked goods and we'd laugh and laugh. Such a sweet girl that is willing to do what it takes to take care of her family. Blue is a perfect match for Lizzie. Such a hard worker and quite the hottie. I'd probably break my oven just so he could come over and fix it! After Blue asking Lizzie out on dates over and over again, she finally agrees to hangout as friends but quickly realizes that she doesn't want to be just Blue's friend. She has been fantasizing about him for over a year now. Of course friends wouldn't do! Sweet kisses turn into sleepovers and well, Melissa Foster knows how to write Romance! In Seized by Love we got to go back to the Cape. This is my favorite setting out of all that Melissa writes. It's a great place to fall in love. I urge you to pick up Seized by Love today! As this is the first book in The Ryders, you'll fall for Blue, but his brothers aren't far behind! I loved this book and I know you will too.

A lot of readers might find Blue's constant pursuing of Lizzie "cute", "sweet" or "romantic" but honestly, I felt that if I were in Lizzie's shoes, I might feel a little stalked but she is very much into him as much as he was into her. Lizzie has a pretty big secret that she doesn't want discovered but Blue is extremely hard to resist! I really love the dedication that Lizzie has to making sure her little sister can finish school and be debt-free. That is the truest love in any sense but when Blue discovers her secret, is their love for one another able to survive? Even at the risk of losing him, Lizzie shows that she graciously earns the title as a Melissa Foster strong, lead female. Blue has been hurt in the past and he knows that Lizzie is hiding something - when all is revealed, will Blue be able to accept it or will he be broken all over again? The way Blue and Lizzie interact remind me of real couples - it's not all sweet and roses. Life is real. It's messy and ugly at times. Only the truest of loves make it. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I have been waiting to read about Lizzie and Blue ever since reading Seaside Summers. I was thrilled with how Seized by Love turned out. The way Seized by Love starts out had me wondering what on Earth is going on with Lizzie and what she is up to. I had Lizzie in my head as being very sweet from her parts in Seaside Summers. I had not expected her to be such a seductress and to have such a naughty side. Even with the Naked Baker webcast, the way Melissa has Lizzie's Naked Baker moments illustrated made Lizzie seem like she was still on the classy side of naughty. I loved Blue Ryder in Seaside Summers. He seems like the perfect, fun, and flirty friend. He's even better in Seized by Love. He's very patient, loyal, and loving. When he finds out about Lizzie being the Naked Baker, I was so afraid for their relationship and friendship. I read half of the book the first night because I needed to know if Blue would find out and how he would react. His insecurities and past experience with his ex cheating on him had me worried that he would lose trust in Lizzie completely. I cannot wait for more Ryder books! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Melissa Foster - Love in Bloom Series – The Ryders Book 1 SEIZED BY LOVE with Blue Ryder and Lizzy Barber. We were introduced to the Ryders with Siena Remington and Cash Ryder in FLAMES OF LOVE (Seaside Sunsets: Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers Book 3 March 31, 2014). We met Blue Ryder in Seaside Nights (Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers, Book 5) Sky Lacroux and Sawyer Bass, (August 12, 2015). Blue and Sky is best friends and Sky is also friends with Lizzy Barber who owns a Flower shop next door to Sky’s tattoo shop. Blue met Lizzy at the wedding 1 year ago when 4 couples were married all from the Seaside Summers. One of those couples included Siena Remington’s brother, Kurt Remington, a world famous mystery writer who married the love of his life, Leanna. Blue has asked Lizzy to go out on a date with him dozens of times since that time. Lizzy has said “no” every time. Why? Lizzy has a secret and she knew that if Blue knew that she was the “Naked Baker”, an internet sensation, he would not want to have anything to do with her. Lizzy had to make these shows because she is paying for her sister’s college and her flower shop doesn’t make enough to pay for it. She has carried this burden and shame alone since she started the show when she was paying for her own college. Blue was renovating Lizzy’s kitchen and she continued to decline his request to go out. When they finally gave into a kiss, their chemistry was so large that they couldn’t contain their feelings. Since High School, Blue has had an issue with trust since his girlfriend violated that confidence. Since then he has closed off his heart and will never allow anyone to hurt him like that again. What will happen if Lizzy and Blue continue to get closer and he finds out about her secret? Find out what happens to Lizzy and Blue as they continue toward a possible Happy Ever After.

Oh my. Oh my. I am not sure that I have ever hated and loved a Melissa Foster male character more than I hated and loved Blue. I had met Blue in previous books from both the Seaside series and of course with Sky’s book and had positive thoughts of him walking in, but dang if he didn’t make me hate him and love him all at the same time. I felt that I could relate to Lizzie in a lot of ways which made me be so defensive of her and her situation. And I really liked the fact that she had a webcast. How she ran her show is quite similar to how a lot of us bloggers run our blogs so it was nice to be able to connect in that sense as well. As usual, Melissa does not disappoint in the romance department. In fact, I feel we are getting a little more risque in the romance department, but I still love it and wouldn’t change a thing! I cannot wait to keep reading out the Ryder family. I have fallen in love with that entire family and wish I could be a part of it too! If you are a Melissa Foster fan, a romance fan, or a book fan; you will want to check this out. It can be read as a stand alone, but I promise you – it won’t be the last one you read!

Another fabulous book written by Melissa Foster!!! I absolutely loved loved loved Blue and Lizzie's story!! I could not put this book down!! Lizzie owns and runs a flower shop by day and at night she transforms herself into the Naked Baker, a webcast that she tapes that helps pay for her sister's college education. And you have the very sexy Blue Ryder who is the local handyman that has been asking Lizzie out for a year but always getting the same answer, "No.". But finally she breaks down and goes on a date with him and their adventure finally begins!!! This book was totally HOT and sexy and I totally recommend it!!

Another Melissa Foster book.....another few minutes of me gushing like the fangirl I am. I have yet to red a book by her that I don't absolutely love. This one was particularly entertaining because I loved the whole secret aspect of Lizzie and her webcasts. I just really felt that it added a little mystery and intrigue....and a little more naughtiness to the story. I really liked how Lizzie put her love life on hold because of her personal responsibilities. That made her really relatable for me. I look forward to Melissa's book a little more than I probably should! This book is part of another exciting series. If you're looking for some good books to read this winter while you're curled up by the fireplace put the Love In Bloom series on the list! You seriously won't be sorry!!!!

While I always love Melissa Foster's books, this one takes the cake (very interestingly shaped cakes even)! Lizzie is one of the most caring and loving characters I've seen in a long time. While she was in college her family fell on hard times, and Lizzie turned to a wig, glasses and a very carefully placed apron as the Naked Baker in order to put herself through college. She would've stopped long ago but now she's supporting her younger sister and putting her through college. But Lizzie is very ashamed of her night job, and she refuses to get into any relationship because she knows that no one will understand. Blue is a gorgeous and very handy man who is doing lots of home repairs for Lizzie, while asking her out every chance that he gets. They have a ton of chemistry, but Lizzie can't allow herself to get into a relationship, and Blue has been hurt in the past and has trust issues. Will they be able to make a relationship work? Or will their pasts (and present) derail any potential relationship they may have? *I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own. Seized by Love is book one in the new spin off featuring the Ryder's this time. We first met Blue Ryder in the Seaside series and I fell in love with his character in Seaside Nights and I really had him pegged to be with Sky - but she found her soulmate in Sawyer, so I was hoping for a book dedicated to him. When he meets Lizzie at a friend's wedding he knows she is THE ONE and makes it his missions to make her his. And after reading this book, she is just absolutely perfect for him Lizzie manages to rebuff his advances for a year before deciding what the heck and gives in and agrees to go a date with hi, Lizzie has a secret though. In order to make ends meet and help pay her sisters tuition she had to resort to extreme measures to make money. Thus the Naked Baker was born - a weekly webcast she does where she, well she bakes naked! I absolutely loved this idea, Lizzie is such a straight laced kinda girl that the idea of her doing something like this is off the wall for her - but it also fit with her character as well and the storyline. This is start of another brilliant series and as usual with anything I have read of Melissa Fosters, the strong friendship and family ties are ever present. I just want to pack up my things and move to Cape Cod and have all of her characters are my friends. I love how she is able to draw you into her characters lifes and make you feel apart of it all. This book has characters old and new and I for one cant wait for the next book in the Ryder's series! 5 perfect stars!
