Editorial Reviews

Kelly Davis
"RJ Hamilton boldly puts himself out on a limb with Self Convictions - there are virtually no sympathetic characters in the book whatsoever. Fortunately, it was a risk that paid off because it was for that very reason I found it impossible to put down!"
Stacy Pierce
From start to finish I was intrigued by the idea of telekinesis in R. J. Hamilton’s book, Self Convictions, as I’ve been in real life. However, the fast paced and sometimes violent journey of the main character, Brandon Hudson, went beyond what I could ever imagine. As his extraordinary powers emerge, one is thrust into a thrilling journey as his insanity comes to life through his experiences and the events that occur in the lives of those around him. This story was a page turner!
Julie Clayton
Long before Heroes was a popular television series, author R.J. Hamilton was writing a story in his mind about a young man with extraordinary powers. The protagonist of Self Convictions, Brandon Hudson, has the power of telekinesis. Not tamely moving pens across a table, but a great force that seems to come from inside of his head, someone else's voice and unchecked emotions, willing him to commit murderous and appalling acts.

Meet the Author

I am originally from Minnesota. After high school, I joined the United States Army as an Infantryman. I was deployed 4 times, twice to Bosnia and twice to Iraq. I ended my military career after 12 years of service to my country. I now live in Topeka, Kansas.I am the author of ''Self Convictions,'' ''Self consciousness,'' ''Self Conclusions,'' ''Self Consequences,'' (in that order) ''And the Hand of God,'' ''Because It Feels Good,'' ''A Personal Hell: Don't Ask, Don't Tell,'' & ''Dissecting Sean Connor.''I started writing in the area of Young Adult Literature recently with ''Dissecting Sean Connor.'' The book was written to help teens with the issues of bullying and identity, particularly when it comes to their sexuality. Often times these things go unnoticed or ignored and ''Dissecting Sean Connor'' deals with the issues that so many young adults don't think they can talk about. Thanks for reading!
