. . .While some writers are primarily interested in making as much money as possible from self-publishing, being motivated solely by money has always been something very "coarse" to me.

I respect the writing craft, and the discipline and effort involved with taking this approach (even if nobody is watching how I do things). To me, making a living from doing something I enjoy is important, but how I make money is just as (if not more) important.

I've always wanted to work on projects that can be remembered, as opposed to cashing in on current fads which might very well be forgettable in less than a decade. . .
