It's much easier to 'write it' then to 'live it'. The book does contain many truths and the author is well read, but how far can intellectual development take you. Anyone that is wondering if this book is teaching the Fourth Way should read: ¿Life Is Real Only Then, When `I Am¿, by Gurdjieff (G). Pages (85 ¿ 116) in particular, shed much light on the real teachings. Summing the pages according to my understanding. G. warns of teachers, who only have knowledge of the exoteric (book knowledge) side of his teachings, will often focus on a portion of the whole (the 4th Way teachings), such as self-observation. Because they are unfamiliar or don¿t know the esoteric side of the teaching, they give an incomplete teaching, like trying to drive a car with only one wheel. On page 96 he explains the outcome of a group focusing wholly on self-observation, G. says it leads to ¿unbalancedness of mind¿ or makes one fit for the nut house. Try a search for 'Trouble Taints a Cerebral Sanctuary' and you will see darker side of what this book / system offers. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
