Having previously managed retail stores and now in my position as a High School Business Teacher, I can heartily recommend the book "Sell more..." This book provides not only thoughtful and novel insights into the art of selling but an abundance of resources for teachers who are looking for new ways to "hook" their students into the lesson. For example, I used information from the chapter "You Had Me at Hello" as a guide for students to follow when creating business cards. The students were challenged to create a card that captured the interest of the reader. Using the techniques in the book, the students produced outstanding cards. So, whether you are looking for exciting ways to increase sales or a fresh approach to teaching entrepreneurial concepts, "Sell more..." is a must read.

As the librarian at a public high school with a business academy, I found "Sell more..." to be an excellent resource for our students. Our academy teachers have been using Ms. McKay's book as a follow up and template for lessons about entrepreneurship. Ms. McKay is obviously in business for herself as well as being an accomplished author. I found the book easy to follow with its uncomplicated and humorous style. I found the chapter "Customer service, it's not brain surgery or rocket science; it's harder" to be very helpful. Libraries by their very nature ARE customer service. Some of her suggestions and insights have been useful in training our student assistants. I would recommend adding Ms. McKay's book to high school library collections especially for those students and faculty who are looking for resources before starting their own businesses.

This is an excellent book. I found this book particularly helpful since I work in the hospitality industry. With such a wide spectrum of competition, new ideas are always required to maintain guest satisfaction and for gaining their continued patronage. This book delivers!

Being of very little sales and business background, I was in need of some 'advice' in the area. I turned to this book to help me with those needs and it has been very useful. Thanks for the help needed in my job. Its also very useful that it keeps the financial side down.

I would recommend this book to a friend with absolutely no hesitation. The title of the book, Sell More, doesn¿t really cover the scope. While increasing sales is always the ultimate goal, the book touches on almost every aspect of running a business from initial set-up to getting the most from employees to how to deal with unhappy customers. Sell More was obviously written for businesses that want to give their customers great value and generate good word-of-mouth and repeat business. Honestly, in a perfect world I would only have to deal with companies that followed the advice in this book. Written in a fun and fast-paced style, but always takes the subject seriously. The suggestions are extremely creative but above all solid. The specific advertising strategies are frequently flat-out brilliant. Sell More would be a valuable tool for any business, for a new business it would be crucial.

I run a coffee shop in St. Paul and needed some marketing ideas. My dad suggested 'Sell More...' This little book turned out to be filled with great marketing ideas that don't cost much money. It also had tips to increase our sales. We have even learned techniques that turned our customers into spokesmen for our coffee shop. If you are looking for a fun to read book packed with easy and inexpensive ideas to grow your business this is the book for you.

Don't become deaf with what is happening with your business.' This is one of the many lessons Judy teaches in her book, 'Sell More..' I am now paying more attention to everything. I wasn't really listening to my customers, especially the unhappy ones. Now I have techniques that are solution based instead of becoming defensive or assigning blame. It teaches that sales aren't about the product but what the customer considers is the benefit. Judy calls it tuning into WIIFM (What's In It For Me). Discovering what matters to my customers and what inspires my team to sell has increased our sales. Now we 'Sell More.' I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a resource that gives you uncomplicated and specific techniques that will increase your business with minimum expense.

I am a nursing student in Indiana and I read this book. Ms. McKay's chapter on customer service was instrumental in helping me successfully interact with my client's on a daily basis. In Chapter 6 'Customer Service, it's not brain surgery or rocket science its harder,' Ms. McKay writes, 'It is about integrating a positive customer experience into all facets of your day to day operation.' Using this technique, I have had very positive feedback from my client's. If you deal with clients on any level, this book is a 'must have.'

'Why didn't I think of that?' is the question you will ask yourself over and over again as you read this 'no stone left uncovered' quide on business strategies. Using some of Judy's advertising ideas has improved our marketing effort along with being loads of fun to put in motion. Thanks for the road map, Judy and I can't believe that I didn't think of that.

I was privileged to be able to preview this outstanding work in Galley Proof form. Judy McKay has hit a home run with this exciting, thought provoking book. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I discovered that it is possible to make an old dog sit up and take notice and learn that there are some new and refreshing ideas in marketing, thanks to the internet and other concepts you will have to read 'Sell More' etc to learn,' that make it much easier for this 'old dog' to perform those tricks much more effectively. Thanks to Judy's words of wisdom, written in a very easily read and understood style, I have been able to move my new business to the next level. I know that even older dogs than I will get a new lease on their entrepenreneurial lives after reading this book. To those who are just starting out I recommend that you read 'Sell More:An Entrepeneur's Guide To Marketing On A Small Budget Strategies That Make A Big Difference' Before you read any of the old standards like The Power of Positive Thinking and similar titles. Judy has succeeded in writing a book about the here and now. A very timely publication that absolutely appropriate for the NOW GENERATION!!

This is an easy read that is loaded with insight and information. Although I am not in sales, I found the book helpful in my work with youth and interacting in our community. Judy writes with 'good energy' which makes this book a must read!

This book is one I consider a reference guide - one that can be used time and time again. Whether the reader is a novice at marketing, or a supervisor needing motivational ideas, or an entrepenauer ready to spread their wings, you'll find lots of innovative ways to improve your positioning in the marketplace.

If I had only had this book available to me when I first ventured into the business world, it would have been a tremendous timesaver! I found many questions answered that I had had to struggle with and resolve along with numerous common sense solutions to every day business hurdles. It is a plain speaking, humorous book written by someone who has obviously been there and knows of what she speaks. When one realizes the wealth of information contained in the pages of this book, one becomes doubly impressed with the cost which I consider to be a real bargain. I would heartily recommend it to anyone as a primer for the novice starting their own business or for an already established business owner who desires a refresher course in sound business practices.
