Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
This book targets owners of businesses worth less than $2 million who are interested in selling. Feingold, an attorney and author of several books on small businesses, provides an overview of the sales process and discusses how to prepare for selling your business, determine its worth, find a reliable buyer, structure the sale, prepare a sales agreement, and, finally, close the deal. The text is embellished with icons that point out additional resources on a given topic, when a consultation with an expert might be needed, or when there may be a special problem that requires resolution. Each chapter ends with a checklist of issues to consider and tasks to accomplish. An accompanying CD-ROM includes forms and instructions for creating sales agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality letters, and promissory notes. Thorough and well organized, this useful work is recommended for most public libraries. Joan Pedzich, Harris Beach LLP, Rochester, NY Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
