Sense and Sensibility / Pride and Prejudice - Austen Regency Collection Vol. 1
Two beautiful classics in one special volume!

A good book is like a good friend – great company to enjoy again and again. Perhaps you’re already acquainted with Jane Austen’s "Sense and Sensibility" and “Pride and Prejudice." Or perhaps you’d like to become acquainted – whatever the case, I hope that you will enjoy this edition of two beautifully written novels from the elegant Regency era. Written by a lady who actually lived during that romantic time period, you will enjoy a touch of history while relishing subtle humor, deep emotion and delightful romance.

Austen Regency Volume I - includes the following two novels:

*Sense and Sensibility* - the author's first published work is the charming story of two sisters as different from one another as two sisters can be. Lovely Marianne, the impulsive younger sister, literally falls into a fairytale romance with disastrous potential. Meanwhile, the older and sincerely practical Elinor, does her best to restrain her sister and manage their family's diminished finances, all the while hiding her own disappointed romantic hopes and dreams.

*Pride and Prejudice* - was originally entitled First Impressions, and deals with the misconceptions that can often occur when a new acquaintance is made, especially amongst the opposite sex. Will Mr. Darcy's natural arrogance and Elizabeth's preconceived notions, prevent their hearts from ever being united? Considered by many to be one of Austen's greatest and most popular works, this story is a must read!

This collection features:

• Full, unabridged texts of two of Jane Austen’s greatest works

• An active and annotated table of contents for each novel, with “scene selections” to take you to favorite sections or “scenes” within each book

• A detailed character map illustrating characters and their relations for each novel (for Kindle Fire users, tap & hold the image to zoom in)

• Beautiful and original line illustrations by Hugh Thomson

About the Author

About The Author
Jane Austen (1775-1817) began her writing career composing stories and novels for her family as entertainment. Although she began to write Pride and Prejudice at the age of twenty-one, her first book to appear in print was Sense an Sensibility. All of her novels, including Mansfield Park, Emma, and Persuasion, were published anonymously. Austen's identity as an author was announced after her death by her brother, Henry.

Heritage Library Publishers - Heritage Library is a brand new, ebook publisher created with the goal of providing high-quality, e-editions of favored classics and other great works of literature. Family based and operated, the name "Heritage Library" was chosen for two reasons:

First, "Heritage" is in honor of the Christian-based, educational heritage my family passed on to me. As a second generation homeschooler, I am hoping to pass on a love of learning through the joy of reading, to my children and further generations. Second, I chose "Library" because that is what I consider this venture - a library, or collection, of great books. A good book is a like a treasured friend whose company is enjoyed over and over again. Nothing will be published except the highest quality books (or friends) that I have personally enjoyed and love to share with my own family.

I also enjoy writing, and hope to eventually publish some of my own, original works, as well. We are excited about this venture and looking forward to sharing many treasured friends, old and new, with others who enjoy reading as much as we do. Thank you for stopping by and feel free to contact us for info regarding future publications and any suggestions for improving our efforts in publishing.
