She's always been the youngest girl in her class. Now she's the youngest girl in the whole school -- and plenty of kids, both friends and bullies, are noticing. When Olivia runs afoul of a popular girl, she realizes she has to grow up fast ... or get left behind.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Laura J. Brown
Camden Falls is a small town in Massachusetts where everyone knows everyone else. It is the kind of place that people feel at home, and everywhere you go people say hello. Most of the store owners on Main Street know each other well and have done so for years. Many of them live on the same street too. The first day of school is a big event in this town, especially for students starting the first day of middle school. The whole experience can be overwhelming. This is how Olivia felt on the first day of seventh grade orientation, and that feeling stuck with her the entire first week of school. The thing that helped her most were her two best friends that came to school with her from their elementary school. Just when Olivia thought she had it all figured out, her two best friends let her know that they wanted to hang out with more people and different people. Olivia did not, and her friends disagreed. Now, what was Olivia going to do and how could her friends turn their backs on her? You will have to read this book to find out what happens. It may surprise you. This is another entertaining edition of the "Main Street Series." Reviewer: Laura J. Brown

I really like the MAIN STREET series, and the sixth book was outstanding.

The three girls - Flora, Nikki, and Olivia - are now going to Junior High, which is also the high school, so there will be students from 7th grade to 12th grade.

Flora and Nikki are very excited but Olivia is nervous. Since she skipped a grade she is one of the youngest in the whole school. She isn't afraid of the classes but of the other students.

She just doesn't fit in socially. She attempts to fit in but another student decides to use her to get good grades. She bullies Olivia and Olivia has to step up her game to finally feel comfortable in her own skin.

I like the three girls in this series - I didn't like the new cover design. I liked the design of the first five and not this cartoon-y one. I really hope they will go back to the original designs for this great series!

Awesome book for girls ages 10-12!

My ten year old daughter and I have read this book together every night and we have loved all 6 of them. We can't wait for Book #7. This is a wonderful book about friendship and the challenges these girls experience. It is also a well written book about people's differences and how they all reach out to help each other and live in peace.

    A reviewer

This book really relates to real life and think grown ups and kids would enjoy it. I sure did. I read as much as I could each night. So, if you ever see this book on the shelves be sure to bring it home it's sure to catch your attention.
