I'm afraid the previous reviewer didn't read so much as the subtitle of this work, much less any of the interesting details within the book as to how these spectacular photos came to be. Shah used hidden/disguised cameras to photograph wildlife up close. Way up close. The photos are wonderful and the effort behind them is staggering. So different from most other photography books, fresh and fun!

My boyfriend gave me this for Christmas and I'm thrilled! I was in the Serengeti and this book shows me some things I saw and some I never could have seen. It is artistic, graphic, and disconcerting. An eye-opening view of life in the wild. Including the reviews on Amazon and here, this book has received 5-star reviews by all but one reviewer.

The quality and clairity of the photographs was disappointing. My husband loves photography and sells his work. When I put this book on the coffee table, he looked at it briefly and put it down without saying a word. I never asked his opinion...I didn't have to. I also didn't like the angle which the photos were taken. It didn't create a feeling of calm.
