    Must Read

Apparently lunatic plus nutcase will always equal insane situation no matter what. The book is written by two authors but flows with one cohesive writing style which makes for an easy read but is very captivating. Each of the characters are surprisingly well-developed for such a short book and the end is poetic justice in action. I really enjoyed it.

    I Also Recommend:

    A Truly Disturbing Novella

I do recommend the full version over the free download. It is a much improved version and well worth the minimal price.

First. This is not a book for everyone. The warnings are real and if you are going to read this be prepared to be shocked and possibly sickened. But really what do you expect when reading about serial killers? They are a little more than New Jersey Housewives or Bad Biker Boys of Tough City. Serials exhibit the epitome of sociopathic behavior and if you find yourself completely comfortable with the characters you should probably seek psychiatric counseling yourself. These guys are the true monsters lurking in society, true evil, and at any given time there are a few out there operating undetected. We all fear them at some level whether for ourselves or our families and the news is always broadcasting another disappearance for us to ponder. This novella allows the reader a glimpse of the insides of their minds and in several stages of development; youth, teen and middle age (none seem to reach the geriatric stage). If you are prone to nightmares or obsessive behavior, if you are violent by nature or hang on to anger for a long time, if you tend to hold grudges: LEAVE THIS BOOK ALONE!!! THIS BOOK IS FOR WELL ADJUSTED ADULTS ONLY. If you take any psychiatric meds (see above). Lastly it goes without saying, don't share it with your teenager.

The authors walk a fine line exploring a serial killers twisted behavior without resorting to the pornographic, although they allude to a very real sexual drive found in almost all killers, and still manage to craft a gripping tale. To their credit they are able to show just how these creatures walk among us undetected. I have mixed feelings about humanizing serials; but without those traits they couldn't survive for long in society. Face it, we have managed to make ourselves safe from monsters with long fangs and claws - what is left must by definition be able to hide like a wisp of smoke. This is a truly exceptional story, I gave it four stars only because I reserve five for the shining stars of literature such as War and Peace or To Kill A Mockingbird - certainly this is a bit of cutting edge literature and while the snob crowd may disdain it for content the authors needed to be highly gifted to be even able to work with the subject. As for the people who wished to be able to unread it - have they never heard of closing the book? Reading an entire book and then pronouncing it disgusting? Please...

    Very violent.

Way too violent and graphic. The story line was unique, but readers could have been spared the graphic violence.

    Brutally fun read.

Serial (Uncut and extended) was a great quick read. It is very disturbing and violent and not for the weak of heart. The book is like a bunch of short stories from the point of view of deranged serial killers of various ages and sexes that are all connected when various serial killers from one part cross paths with other serial murderers from another section. The violence won't haunt you as much as the non blatant violence. There are scenes where your imagination of what a victim is going through is more skin crawling than a stabbing or gunshot. At one point you may even find yourself rooting for one of the killers to succeed. Plop down the $1.99 for the uncut version and not the free edition.

    Graphic Horror - Graphic Sex

Aftter reading this short story, I must admit the horror and sex both made me feel uncomfortable. Perhaps that is what the authors wanted to achieve, but it really was not for me. Reading this story is something akin to going to an execution by electrocution or firing squad, and the whole sex thing becomes embarrassing as well as boring.

    Best wishes,

    Creepy and Disturbing

Yes, this story is graphically violent. However, I don't think the violence was gratuitous. It necessary to establish the twisted and sick nature of the main characters. It's needed because it makes the final throw-down very satisfying. I will definitely keep these writers on my radar.

    Graphic but a good story

I really enjoyed this read. The graphic nature of the first chapter was a little disturbing but the last two chapters didn't bother me as much. I thought it was a great "what if?" story. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thrillers and doesn't mind some graphic story telling. It was also a short read which I enjoyed.

    Wish it was longer!

Great read, would probably make a great movie plot. My only complaint is that it's a short... would have been great if it was developed into a full length novel. I especially liked the authors "interview" at the end. Was a really interesting look at their "process," which in my oppinion made it even more interesting.

    FABULOUS READ!!!

The first ebook I have EVER paid full price for on my Nook and I am SO pleased with the purchase!

If you have not read the free edition yet don't you dare touch it and just get this book instead.

It's not THAT short, but I would have loved it to go longer.

    Good.

Very violent sick and twisted. I think they could have played it out longer the ending was abrupt. But all in all it wasnt to horrible. The caracters played well off eachother. Not bad for a qick freebie read.
