Don't be fooled by the "friends" reviews. This book is slow and cliche with no thought to plot or any intrigue. It could have easily been taken from an tv show. It does Worcester a diservice in making it looking like a city that would support such a story. This author wasted alot of time and money in paying to have this book published. Don't waste your time or money on this piece of garbage!

I decided to read this book partly because it was based in the Central Mass area, I had hoped to read about local landmarks and I was not disappointed. It was fun to read of bad local intersections, dunkin donuts and 290. However you don't have to be from this area to appreciate the book. The characters were well developed and there were many story lines woven into this book. By the time I got to the middle of the book I realized I was hooked, it was a real page turner. I look forward to this authors next book.

If you like a good mystery with twists this is the book for you. I liked the serial killer, he is well crafted character and N. E. did a great job with his creation. Not Hanibal by any stretch but clever. Also, the muder scenes are not overly graphic which made far a safe read.

Serial is a really good mystery with some really good twists. I have to admit that Lori does start to grate on your nerves (as a woman I need to say that) but she is still a keen detective. The writer really got into the head of the killer and you really see the world through ¿his¿ eyes. The writer made me understand the fixation on Lori and why Lori would get paranoid that the killer really ¿knew¿ her. I LOVE GUNNER! He was my favorite character and I hope to see him as a stand alone character. Lori¿s friend Jessie reminded me of my best friend and the way she tries to keep me out of trouble. The murder scenes are not overly graphic and that is a good thing, the writer gives you enough detail to want to see the bad guy get caught but not enough to gross you out. Over all a really good book.

When I first started reading this book I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The story is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Lori is a bit of a dingbat at times and you find yourself wanting to know who the Hunter is.

The part I liked most about this book is that the author told parts of the story through the character¿s eyes. She took me in side the mind of the murder and the officer trying to catch them. Dude I could not put this thing down! I kept telling myself, one more chapter, but the story drags you in until the very end. The best part was that my girlfriend liked it too.

This book is a real page-turner! I started reading after work and found myself making a second pot of coffee at 3:00am, too eager to find out what happened next to put the book away and get some much-needed sleep. If you love a good murder mystery, I definitely recommend this.
