Overview

Succumb to the heat and passion amongst the groves and gardens of the palace.

Jeanette Nouel was tired of her only existence. Virtuous despite being widowed did not entice gentlemen, especially in a court where most widows were free with their favors. In order to attract the one man she desired, Jeanette would need to step out of her shell, and become a slave to passion.

Jacques Karol had bedded numerous women at court but he tired of being treated as if he were a stud, his sole purpose was to bring pleasure. There was only one woman he wished to perform that service, if only she would have him.

EXCERPT

He made his way down the slope and onto the lawn. He paused on a rock and removed this boots and stockings. He hoped Jeanette hadn’t been revolted by his odor and disappeared while he was bathing. He removed his jacket and shirt, tossing them aside. His hands went to the waist of his breeches and he slid them over his hips.
He turned at the sound of ripping material. Jeanette had followed him and had torn away a portion of her gown, if that is what one could call the filmy piece of material.
“I will wash you.”
“There is no need.”
A smile pulled at her lips. “I want to.” She took his hand and led him into the water.
