In my opinion, as an educator and a grandparent, I am sorry to report that this series of flash cards, aimed at a "First ABC's" learner, is very poorly thought out. Only a very few of the pictured 'things' are intuitively paired with the letter of the alphabet. Even fewer could be identified by a baby learning to associate things that begin with the letter. The majority of the cards show a busy picture that needs the inquiring mind of a puzzle solver to winkle out the item that begins with that particular letter of the alphabet. This might be fun for a child who is very familiar with the alphabet and who has visual experience and many, many words in their vocabulary (ages 3-5). I will keep the set for later but this group of cards is definitely not for the beginning learner. I cannot recommend this set for the audience it is aimed at and am surprised at the Sesame Street producers for marketing this set as they do.
