In fact, I hated to finish the last book, as it signaled the end of my relationship with the characters. Having ancestors that made the emmigration from Scandinavia to the USA made this book even more compelling. I normally do not read books more than once, but these were page turners that I would return to someday. LOVED LOVED LOVED
