Overview

Widely acclaimed as one of the silver screen's greatest musicals, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers boasts a rousing collection of original songs by Gene DePaul and Johnny Mercer. With Howard Keel and Jane Powell's vocals leading the way, DePaul and Mercer's score includes "Bless Yore Beautiful Hide, "When You're in Love," and the instrumental "Barn Dance," the underscore for one of the cinema's most vividly choreographed dance sequences. Rhino's CD of this Oscar-winning soundtrack includes a handful of outtakes, including demo recordings of several songs by the composers and director Stanley Donen.

I absolutely love this movie, definantly on my top ten. This sound track makes me so happy when I listen to it and it gives me a great feeling. If you love the movie, you will love the soundtrack! One of the best musicals ever. Howard Keel and Jane Powell are amazing!

I absolutely love the movie! I used to watch the movie every Saturday. And I'm a teenager! The music is uplifting and invites you to sing along. The soundtrack is great!

This soundtrack is absolutely wonderful, the additional track recordings at the end are fantastic for any one who even kind of enjoyed the movie. If you liked the movie you'll love this soundtrack.

If you enjoy relaxing and sitting back to indulge yourself in an era gone by, this is it. Why can't we produce things that make us feel the way that 7 Brides made us feel.
