Overview

There is a plan to commit the largest terrorist attack on American soil, and the only man with enough information to stop it has been found dead in a hotel room – both of his lungs disintegrated. But not before he got a message out...

Mr. Ridley has a distinct life. His house is divided into three, with his brother and niece on one side and two retired porn stars on the other. He owns a bar, and a buffet, and a school where he teaches martial arts, even though he’s sworn off violence. The days are soft, warm, and he is content...until an old enemy walks into his buffet, takes the seat across from him, and sends his life spiraling out of control with a single statement:

“Speak to Mans el-Ray Pasquale.”

Thus begins his rugged journey around the world – from the forests of East Asia to the South African coast, Britain, and all across the U.S. – where he will face-off against new enemies and past demons alike, from a ruthless hitman to savage bandits, violent mercenaries, blackmailing gangsters, and even a secret society, all while frantically racing to put the pieces together, solve the mystery, and prevent the worst bombing in US history. As the final hour draws near, friends will double-cross, lives will be lost on both sides, and everyone will be forced to fight. With an epic scope and unrelenting pace, Seven Devils is a thrilling adventure of one man’s struggle to save his city, his family, and himself.

Meet the Author

Matthew Christopher Benner is an author from the east coast somewhere. I'm thinking Maine but I could be confusing him with a good writer. Pretty sure he lives near West Chester but google maps showed a bunch of West Chesters. If I had to guess, I'd say... West Chester, Illinois... though I'm basing that on nothing. Not one single thing. In fact, I'm pretty sure Illinois was one of the few states without a West Chester. Anyway, he has children, several of 'em - both girls that hopefully take after their mothers. And he's got trades besides "writing", seems to gather them like shot glasses: a licensed massage therapist because he's creepy and wants to touch people; a bartender, probably because no one would let him massage them without alcohol since he's so creepy; an avionics technician, 'cause why not, I guess; and he's a thief - I know of one time in particular when he stole the woman of a guy who writes author's bios for a living. These are just facts, just listing facts about him, just a list--bunch of stuff, all equally important for you to know about Matthew Christopher Benner. Really, all you need to know is that he never succeeds. And also that he's balding.
