Children's Literature - Children's Literature
A light-hearted story of Rebecca and Scott, old friends, who are paired up in their middle school's new ballroom dance class. For the girls the best part of the class is handsome Mr. DePalma, the instructor. I appreciated the dancing sections when the kids really learn something about ballroom dance. Ms. Levy is obviously a fan. There is the usual seventh grade angst but Rebecca and Scott are nice kids who partner each other well. Yes, the star couple does win the Tango competition to the cheers and high fives of their classmates. 2000, Hyperion, Ages 10 to 14, $16.49 and $15.99. Reviewer: Jan Lieberman
