    more from this reviewer

    Seventh Tower

I thought this/these book/books were good. I devoured the whole thing in about a day and a half. It's entertaining and I found it difficult to put down. I would recommend it because it's an easy read, but it's a great story and better characters that you can easily relate to even though they live in a completely different world.

A Great Gift for a boy!

I bought this book for my 11 yr old son. He has read Twilight, Harry Potter, etc. and I must say he LOVED this book! Usually it takes him a while to finish a book, but with this one, it was less than a week. He finished it yesterday and was still going on and on about it today. He asked me to get him Volumes 4-6 (which is sold out everywhere!) as soon as I can. If you are looking for a book to get a boy from I would say 10 - 15, this is it!

    Really good book

The Seventh Towers by Garth Nix is about a boy named Tal who is on a quest to find a primary sunstone for his family. His search starts after Tal's father mysteriously dissapears. Tal must find this sunstone to get into Aenir so he can bind a spiritshadow that can replace his shadowguard that he has had since being a toddler. His quest to get the primary sunstone was much harder than he bargained for. His enemy shadow master Sushin( his relative) made his search much harder.Tal tries many times to get a primary sunstone in his Castle but all of his attempts are unsuccessful. Tal ends up leaving the castle, not by choice but by fate. Out of the castle he meets people that are thought to be fictional. Tal meets an Icecarl girl named Milla. Even though Milla doesn't really like Tal and Tal doesn't like Milla they put away their differences worked together. They needed each other because they each needed a primary sunstone and needed each others help to get one. The Seventh Towers is a great book and is an easy enjoyable read. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes to read.

BEH, best book i ever read!

The Seventh Tower The Seventh Tower is a great book about 2 named Milla and Tal. It¿s written by Garth Nix. Tal needs a sunstone for his family to get into Aenir on the day of Accention so he can get a shadowgaurd. Milla needs an enormous sunstone for her clan¿s ship, because theirs is failing. This story takes place in the Castle, Aenir, and on the Ice. I think the author is trying to tell you anything is possible. The duo overcomes many challenges physically and mentally. They outwit countless villains and creatures of all sizes. I think The Seventh Tower was the best book I ever read. This story is filled with suspense and action. They get out of countless traps. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who likes fantasy mixed with action. By: Bryce

    Hooked from the beginning

I was hooked at the beginning of this book, however, as I read more, I found this book to be over-detailed. I've decided to return it.

    best book ever

The Seventh Tower, Volumes 1-3 was the best book I've ever read, even better than the Lord of the Rings series or Harry Potter. While those were still good, this book is full of action, making it appear when you least expect it and always putting in the suspense at the right places. I am currently on Chapter 14 of volume 4 in the volumes 4-6 set, and I am expecting this book to end just as well as the first.

    Seventh Tower, Volumes 1-3

I am 13 and just finished this book. I thought it was a very easy read, but I really liked it. It has a good story, but I think it could have been much more descriptive and chosen better names for people, places, ect...Like naming the towers after colors, it gets boring, I mean, ranking them in the colors of the rainbow, and all that was kinda dumb. Its not a big factor, but books with more exciting interesting names just make it that much better. I do recommend it and its full of adventure. And its slow at some parts, but overall its very good. I'd recommend it for ages 10 & up. I will be sure to get the hardcover version of volumes 4-6, since this hardcover of volumes 1-3 leaves you off at a very exciting part and you want to know what happens next.

    Absolutely Amazing

If you have read and enjoyed Sabriel, you will definately love this! It presents such a different scale of adventure that it is new and refreshing every time you read it! The book's size possibly would scare some young readers, but the story moves so quickly and enjoyably that you rapidly lose the sense of how large it appears to be. I recommend this to absolutly EVERYBODY who enjoys Garth Nix's works as well as any Fantasy fan.

    Loved it

This book or these combined books were fantastic. I loved them and I loved the shadowguards and the storyline in general. The sunstones and the power the hold are the second best things about this book after the shadowguards. I had the first 2 books, The Fall and Castle, just lying around in a cabinet and originally never gave them a second thought but one day i just picked up the first book, The Fall, and started reading the first couple chapters and couldnt stop. Soon I'd finished the first book and the second, Castle, and was ready for the next so i just borrowed the rest of the series out of school library and read them all. A must read book!
