Meet the Author

A Kalona, Iowa, quilt show in the early 1980s was the catalyst that inspired Pennie Horras to try her hand at quiltmaking. She sewed along for years, teaching herself from quilt books, magazines, TV, and trial and error. Her teaching headquarters is Stitches Galore, Kalona, Iowa, and she is a member of the Northside Strippers quilt guild in Fairfield, Iowa.
