Overview

Turning thirty years of medical and cultural wisdom on its head, Sex, Lies, and Menopause challenges both the medical establishment and modern feminists to prove that menopause does not have to be deadly.

In this revolutionary work — a landmark that signals the true beginning of feminist medicine — a doctor, a philosopher, and a scientist prove that by postponing marriage and motherhood, women have accelerated the aging process, resulting in earlier menopause and, ultimately for thousands, earlier death.

In Sex, Lies, and Menopause, T. S. Wiley, Julie Taguchi, M.D., and Bent Formby, Ph.D., offer strong evidence that the use of synthetic hormones leads to cancer and advise women to turn to natural hormone-replacement therapy — derived from plants, not drugs — to help them elevate their estrogen level for greater energy, libido, and intellectual capacity.

Provocative, empowering, and scientifically sound, Sex, Lies, and Menopause addresses the inherent benefits of natural progesterone, reveals the lies advanced by the medical and drug establishments, and challenges women to demand a medical future where their health comes first. The research presented in Sex, Lies, and Menopause will at last allow women to create their own plan of action to put themselves safely on the path to better health and hormonal balance at any stage of life.

A must have for EVERY WOMAN

And I agree with the previous reviewer - the book is important and for someone to rate it poorly because of one outlook, and not because of the actual content that is essential for every woman today is rather unfair. Those who are negative about the Wiley Protocol are those who are either '1' involved in Big Pharma and their stockholders '2' physicians afraid to think outside the box and do what's truly right for their patients '3' someone with a personal ax to grind '4' someone who's not educated themselves on the differences between chemicals and natural bioidenticals and/or '5' someone who's not NEEDED this! I strongly recommend this book to all women. At some point, every woman will need this information.

    About Mass Decption Reviewer

It seems pretty unfair to drag down the average for this excellent book because the reviewer takes violent issue with one peripheral subject - the racial prejudice of Margaret Sanger. No amount of good deeds can reverse the damage done by the proliferation of synthetic hormones as birth control, pushed by Sanger to control the population of 'colored' people. You can agree or disagree about birth control, but you can't dispute the historical facts. So, good for you Margaret Sanger, for all the good things you've done, but that doesn't absolve you from this sordid story. Anyway, why not review the book on its merits, not your own political point of view.

    Sex, Lies, and Mass Deception

As a fellow victim of the HR drug czars, I scampered after this book. And while I will pursue natural hormone replacement, this book is not woman friendly. In Wiley's introduction there is a notation that instructs the reader that the book is about biology and not about politics. Yet Wiley uses an entire chapter to denegrate a woman who devoted her life to reproductive freedom. A woman who nursed the poor, who mopped up the bloody aftermath of $5 butchers, who watched her mother die a slow death as the direct result of eighteen pregnancies, who saw what those who serve the poor see everyday. Poverty is a disease that attacks mainly women and children and the only cure is in the woman's power of reproductive freedom. Readers are only a click away to learning more about the life and works of Margaret Sanger. And when they do, whenever the word eugenic is attached to the works of this heroine, be warned that the game of mass deception is not only afoot, its bearing down on us full throttle.

    Interesting but very technical

Recommended by my Dr. for a reference during perimenopause - Found it was written in a "Woodstock Era" time reference that made it enjoyable for the most part but did find it extremely technical and confusing after a while. It did impart some very useful info that I could identify with but I could not finish the material.
