The significant downside to this book is that the author completely left out any references. This could have been a really good book if it had demonstrated where the "facts" were coming from. As a result it could easily be classified as anti-Catholic trash.
This is a naughty, irreverent little book that in many ways makes it clear that the history of Catholic popes was littered with men and women of base character. These individuals may have focused their lives on the spiritual, but did not forget or forfeit their carnal desires. Some were totally depraved while others were just human. It is something to read when the rose colored glasses are getting rather thick.

I picked up this book on a whim because the title sounded fun and boy did I luck out! Each page is filled with amazing unbelievable facts about the sex lives of the popes. The facts are written well in an easy to read format. You can't help but share your new information with friends. I read this book on vacation and then gave it to my friend to read and we couldn't stop reading the unbelievable facts to each other. This book is a must read!
