I had the pleasure to pick this Dani Lovell title up recently and I’m glad I did. It’s THE HOLIDAY, without the cheating bastards… So, yahoo! Here’s what happens: Londoner Bea takes a spontaneous vacation with her friend Tilly to LA to visit Tilly’s sister. Bea suffers panic attacks in flight—particularly surrounding take-offs and landings. While she’s gripping the headrest in fear, a strong hand clasps hers and a connection is made. Thankfully, that strong hand belongs to Daniel Berkeley, who is sexy, as the title proclaims. Daniel invites Bea to the lounge for a drink and chat while the trans-Atlantic flight hustles on. And the chat ends with a more-than-pleasant ‘pash’ (That’s a ‘make-out’ for the Yanks). Skittish of holiday romantic entanglements, Bea turns down Daniel’s request for a date. Never fear—fate steps in to reunite these lovely folks two days later. Sparks fly, not just for Bea and Daniel, but for Tilly and Daniel’s BFF Luke Summers. Bea is overwrought knowing that she’s developing serious feelings for a man that she can never truly have; she’s unwilling to move to the States, and Daniel’s a big wig at his father’s corporation. So, despite two passion-filled days and nights—she breaks off more visitations. NO! How could she refuse to see Sexy Berkeley? you say. Well, she does manage to drunk-text him the Friday before she leaves for London… And the fire is even hotter. In fact, the magma-like chemistry between Bea and Daniel eventually melts her objection to ‘trying’ a long-distance thing. Bea won’t concede to being long-distance lovers, but she agrees to chatting and texting every now and then, at least, until they work each other out of their systems… But, Daniel doesn’t want Bea out of his system. And that’s probably the sexiest part of him. Loved this. Hated that Bea would never relent to Daniel’s desire to simply be hopeful for a future, no matter how realistic her fears. See, I wanted her to throw caution to the birds and let them devour the scraps, but she just WOULDN’T! And yet, her stubbornness was decidedly what gave this story its satisfying ending. Also: Can I thank you, Dani Lovell, for creating a male lead who is attractive and uber-wealthy and yet not a kinked-out Dom? It's nice to read a vanilla with sprinkles of heat for a change. (Not every book has to Out-Fifty, FIFTY, folks!)

The story is good, characters are lovely but they can't seem to shut up. And, the crap they say... it's too much of the same thing. Over. And. Over. The book could've been 100 pages shorter easily. The dialogue got in the way of the plot's progress and, really, who talks like that? It was too much of a distraction that it actually affected the overall quality of the book. Such a shame.

The honey, baby, sweetheart, etc was driving me nuts but I pushed through it. I have to admit I skimmed through a lot of the pages because the mushy talk and the thank you's and pet names and even real names was so repetitive and irritating. Who speaks like that? I hope the next book isnt like that.

I was looking for a beach read. Two trips to the beach later and i could not finish it. The characters are fun but the writing made reading this a chore .On the upside the book was free.

I like a good sexy romance as well as anyone. But this was a case of overkill. The story starts off with an excellent premise but soon the story come downs to how often can the two main characters have sex. What a waste of a perfectly good story line. This could have been so much better. :-(

Good story and concept. A bit too long and repetative. I skipped through a lot of it. Bea was annoying with how negative she was about the relationship and distance.

Very repetative. About 300 pages. The story was abit fairytale like. Never quite understood how Daniel fell in love so quickly. Bea constant whining about how she could not have a relationship with him would have put anyone off.

Liked the idea of the book, but way too many "i love yous , and you're so beautiful", could have developed more of a plot.

Great read. The story hooks you so you keep reading to see what will happen next. Intense scenes and good story line. Already reading Sexy Summers....

Not sure why one of the reviewers thought the book was only 43 pages. On my Nook it's just over 300 pages. I liked this story very much. Although, at times it was a bit repetative. And drolled on a bit in parts. But for the most part it was a lovely story. Thank you!

A fun free read with lots of steamy sex. The sex got to be a little overdone even if it did make me hot and bothered. I really loved all the characters and how they cared about each other. I'm looking forward to Tilly and Luke's story.

The love story is a bit far-fetched, and the main character, Bea, gets annoying with her whining about living arrangements. If you can get past that, then this is an enjoyable, mindless read.

The story dragged out and Bea was too whiny. I did not like the dialogue at all. I like a man to be romantic but they need to be realistic too.

I liked this book, but it was very drawn out. It has some good sex scenes, but it is kind of redundant. I think it would have been better to be a little shorter, but all in all a good read.

This book is everything a single woman would want in a holiday or a vacation as I know it. The characters are well developed and mr daniel berkeley is a womans dream, both sexy and caring. I can understand both where beatrice and daniel are coming from they love each other he sees their future she only sees the distance between them but when they are together sparks fly. I praise Dani for this steamy book.... it will definitely spark up your own love life
