There are at least two stories going on in this book. The one with SG1 on Valhalla. The other with Jonas Quinn on Langara. It could easily have been two completely separate books. There is a reason, though, that the two stories come together eventually. I won't say I was disappointed with this book, but I've read others that are far better.
