Overview

In this story of redemptive suffering, Sheriff’s Detective Cade Ribault goes up against a case that breaks his heart and a crippling illness that threatens to kill him. Shadows of corruption gather as surely as darkness falls on the face of a sundial, and Cade is running out of time.

Set in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Shadow Clock brings the elements of Greek tragedy to the Grand Strand. The novel is at once a steamy Southern noir, a detective thriller, and a portrait of a wounded man’s quest to survive in a murderous world.

Tropical atmosphere, memorable characters who are at turns creepy and funny, and an ending that is intense and unpredictable--all add up to a very entertaining, beautifully-crafted novel. This book is meticulously plotted to keep you turning pages, but it also has deeper undercurrents and layers of meaning that will resonate long after you've finished the novel.
