Can investigators crack the case before Tristan meets the same fate as her mother? And who is responsible for the disappearances? There is much uncertainty as the investigation unfolds, but there is one thing that is certain: Tristan Morrow holds the master key to the entire riddle.

Difficult to put down. This book had wonderful suspense throughout! It was a very different story, and was hard for me to get into at first, but once I did, the ball kept on rolling. This is not an easy read, quite complex, actually, but enjoyable. I liked that I was able to use my brain some :p Very intriguing.. A definite 5 stars! Recommended to anyone that enjoys mystery in their stories.

This book was amazing. I have read several of Addison’s other books and didn’t hesitate to read this one. This one is a thriller and suspenseful. Tristan is the youngest of 5 kids and the only girl. She has always believed that her mother left her and her siblings the day she was born. Her English teacher gives her assignment to write a paper on her mother. This sparks a whole series of events that no one ever saw coming. Tristan’s father has been keeping a secret from all his children except the oldest one. As it turns out Tristan is really the key to the whole thing. Tristan’s goes missing herself and everyone becomes a suspect and reopens her mother’s case as well. There is a new officer in town and she isn’t going to just sit by. The other officers in town are up to something and she is going to find out what that is. This book takes you on a crazy adventure and completely pulls you into the story. Tristan is outraged when she learns what her father has been keeping from her and her brothers. Turns out Tristan and her mother are more alike than just looks. The same man who stalked and terrorized her mother is now after her. Will they be able to figure everything out before Tristan comes to the fate as her mother? All the characters in this book are great. Her family is so close. The book takes place is rural Pennsylvania. The book almost has two stories; Tristan’s story and her mother’s story. The story is hopeful, suspenseful, sad and so much more. I can’t say enough about this book but I don’t want to giveaway any spoilers. This book is a Must Read for sure. Another fantastic book Addison Kline. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

I LOVED Addison Kline's Shadow Dancer.  Part police story, part murder mystery, part kidnap drama, this is the story of a family secret  and the damage it did to two generations  of the Morrow family. When Tristan's excessively strict English teacher assigns her an essay about her "missing" Mother she realizes that she knows almost nothing about the woman who has been gone since the day she was born. Nobody will tell her much about her mother, but it soon  becomes clear that what she doesn't know can hurt her. When Tristan disappears from her home during the night after discovering that her missing mother has actually been dead all along the whole story about her mother Catherine finally begins to come out, but can her father and the new police sergeant solve the case before Tristan meets her mother's fate? Well written with an interesting cast of fully developed characters, Shadow Dancer is an exciting story that provides a new twist on every  page, right through to the poignantly powerful ending.   Absolutely a 5 star read.

Tristan Morrow never met her mother Catherine. Growing up she and her brothers thought their mother had run off, but when Tristan starts doing research for a school assignment she discovers her father lied about her mother's disappearance. Following her discovery, Tristan is kidnapped and what follows is a nonstop suspenseful story that not only exposes the secrets of The Morrows, but also some of Elkhart's small town citizens. Kline does a beautiful job of describing the setting and the emotions of characters. What makes the story wonderful is how you're invested in all the characters, everyone from the tight-knit Morrow family to tough as nails Sergeant DiNolfo to creepy Bernard Kendricks. I loved how the story goes back and forth between the past and the present day. Through the flashbacks we learn about Catherine's sad childhood, her history with Bernard Kendricks, and her life with Jack. You also learn what happened that fateful night of Tristan's birth and Catherine's death. Even though there's lots of drama and suspense in the book, Kline lightens the mood with a dash of humor. Aunt Bridgette and Uncle Frank offer plenty of funny moments throughout the story, one of my favorite scenes is when Bridgette burns dinner and Frank comes to the rescue by ordering pizza. Everything about this book is amazing, from the characters to the setting to the suspenseful plot, it all come together to make an astonishing story. This is the first book I’ve read by Addison Kline and I will be checking out more of her work.

This book had me alternating in confusion of what would happen, on the edge of my seat, excited, nervous, sad and thrilled. It was a wonderful suspense story told from multiple perspectives; which helped flesh out the story more. I could feel Catherine's fluxing emotions, the sorrow of Jack, Tristan's anger determination and strength, and terror at the insanity in Bernard...I'd definitely recommend this. But if you get freaked out easy...don't read this in the dark. It gets inside your head

I love this book, with the mystery, outstanding romance and lord the suspense made this a wonderful outstanding read. I do find this a hard book to review without giving the story away. This story is based on Secrets and some should never be told. The day Tristan Morrow is born, her mother goes missing and after 15 years there is still no closure. She lives in a very protect family and even has to hide her first romantic feelings. Tristan to write a biography on her mother but she can only write what she has been told. They say she was crazy, beautiful but left, when the truth when found out is she is dead. The means to find out what happen to her mother and find the person who did this. Her father said he will give all the information he knows but before that meeting takes place Tristan herself comes up missing. Her family must find her before she comes to the same faith as her mother, but Tristan is the only one who holds the answer and she can’t be found. Can she be found in time and will the riddle ever be solved? I did get a little confused and found myself rereading pages, there are so many characters it keeps the mind spinning. The author does have a wonderful way of telling a wonderful story with many twist and turns that seem to go on forever, which will keep you turning the pages. I did find the characters to be wonderful but I did come to hate a few and love some others. She has a wonderful way of twisting the reader’s emotions that at times you aren’t sure who you hate. The author way of writing will keep you interested, while turning the pages to see what happens next. I will leave you with this thought….Shadow Dancer has been nominated for "Best Breakout Novel of 2014!" I do not think anything else needs to be said. I recommend if you are looking for a book full of love, suspense, with many twist and turns you go pick up Shadow Dancer.
