a terrific tale that deftly merges early seventeenth century Highlander tidbits inside of Donna Grant's Druid mythos

In 1603 Galen, the Druid-created Highlander warrior is sent to an isolated Scottish loch to find a key powerful artifact that should enable the Castle McLeod forces to defeat their enemy Deirdre, the evil Druid. There instead of the arcane relic he came to retrieve, Galen meets Reaghan the Druid without any magical power.

Both are stunned by their immediate attraction to one another. She and her villagers join Galen as he returns to Castle MacLeod to help defend the Druids from Deidre's malevolent assaults. Her horde attacks the travelers severely injuring Reaghan, the focus of the assault. As Reaghan heals and she and Galen fall in love, they will learn the dark powerful reason Deirdre wants her captive.

The latest Dark Sword historical romantic fantasy (see Untamed Highlander, Dangerous Highlander and Wicked Highlander) is a terrific tale that deftly merges early seventeenth century Highlander tidbits inside of Donna Grant's Druid mythos. The story line is fast-paced but driven by the lead protagonists and their dangerous adversary. Readers will enjoy this strong thriller as Galen and fans wonder if love can overcome insidious evil.

Kirby and the Dark Phoenix: Chapter 4

((It is never a typo nor a plot. Lumin does know how to beat Daro. Also, I dunno what's a Dynobird.))
Kirby and Lumin entered Epic's house. Epic turned around to face Kirby and Lumin, a book in her lap titled "Legends of Dreamland". "Hey Kirby! Whatcha doin' here?" Said the Waddle Dee. Lumin flew onto Epic's book. "I am Lumin, servant of the Light Phoenix, Lira. I believe you are looking for a way to defeat Daro?" Epic looked at her. "Yeah, why?" Kirby gestured that the sparrow knew how to beat Daro. "HO<_>LY MACKEREL! LUMIN KNOWS HOW TO BEAT HIM!?" "Matter of fact, I do." Replied Lumin. "The only way to beat Daro is fuse the Star Rod and the Light Sword to make the Dream Sword, and ki<_>ll him with it." Kirby and Epic looked at him. "Woah, woah, time out! First of all, Daro said he hid the Star Rod, and it'll likely take us a long time to find it. Second, according to legend-" "Which is quite correct." Interrupted Lumin. Epic continued "-the Light Sword is stuck somewhere in a shrine. And the legend doesn't even mention WHERE." Kirby completely agreed with her. "I believe we must search for them, then." Kirby also agreed with Lumin on that statement. They couldn't afford to lose Popstar into a reign of darkness. He gestured his opinion to Epic. "Ok, fine, we go look for them. Where do you think Star Rod's gonna be at, Lumin?" The white sparrow looked at them, "Most likely, it is guarded somewhere safe." Kirby hestitated. They still have no leads. He gestured this to Epic. "We still got no leads, though." Lumin nodded. "The creature that is most likely to be inclined to evil and make an alliance with Daro is Heavy Lobster 2.0. We might search there." Epic clapped her hands together. "Alrighty then! It's settled! Let's get this over with!" Kirby and Lumin agreed and journeyed to the seashore, where Heavy Lobster 2.0's hideout is located.
((Ya see? I did consider an application! Also, I'm finding a place to put your characters in, Gargamel. Ok, Epicness out!))

You don't want to miss this one!!!!

This book was amazing. I have been learning about Galen for some time now and have always wondered what was going on with him. Well I found out and it all makes perfect sense now. When he meets Rheagan he knows immediately that he is attracted to her and she feels the same way. He is very reluctant to be with her because of his "gift" but he cannot fight the attraction any longer. When he finally does give in, he is given a very pleasant surprise.

Rheagan is a character that I grew to love. She is strong and vibrant. She knows she is "missing" something but can't figure it out and yet she keeps living her life to it's fullest every day. She is kind and compassionate and turns into a very determined women. You can feel the need and passion just from reading the story.

What I loved most about this book is they didn't fight the attraction. They knew what they wanted and they took it. Instead of most of the story being about them getting together it was more about the big picture. I really liked that.

The story line was unique and intriguing and it kept me sucked in the whole time. Past and future characters all made appearances but it never took from the main ones, just enough to give you a glimpse of what is going on with them and where they are in their lives. There was a very good balance of passion, romance, suspense, and sadness that kept the book well rounded and complete. Ms Grant leaves you chomping at the bit for the next in the series. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a fantastic read.

Highly Recommended - A Must Read!

Book 5 in The Dark Sword Series. Warrior Galen Shaw travels to Loch Awe to search for an "artifact" to use in the war against the evil drough Dierdre. At the Loch, Galen comes upon Reaghan - a mysterious beauty who is more than she seems. With danger lurking everywhere, Galen & Reaghan take the Druids from her village to the safety of MacLeod Castle while Dierdre schemes to gain the "artifact" for her own destructive plans.

Will Galen & Reaghan discover the "artifact" in time to save themselves and those at MacLeod Castle? Will they be able to find love in each others arms?

The talented Donna Grant has created yet another great story with wonderful characters - a definite MUST READ!
