I loved seing two damaged souls as these two, get together and fall in love! Beauty was a unique Gift Female and was much stronger and more brave then i anticipated and i LOVED that! Shadow was her perfect match and im looking forward to the next edition to the NS series! A definite MUST read!

I loved it. Read the book in one day. Now Laurann has given us more people to care about which mean i hope more books, lots more books. This is my favorite series of hers!!!

Loved this book read it in one sitting almost. Shadow and Beauty were a very different couple as Beauty is also species one of the gift females. I loved the way she learned to stand up for what she wanted which happened to be Shadow. Loved this book keep them coming Laurann.

Have read every book she's written, only complaint is she doesn't write fast enough. Hot with wonderful characters, whom you'll fall in love with.

MS. DOHNERS NEW SPECIES SERIES IS ONE ALL MUST READ. BEAUTY AND SHADOW ARE DAMAGED SOULS WHO FIND LOVE TOGETHER. THIS STORY WILL SUCK YOU IN AND LEAVE YOU WANTING MORE. I CANT WAIT FIR THE NEXT BOOK.. A TRULY WONDERFUL BOOK!!!!

I so do love this series by Laurann Dohner. She puts a different spin on the characters and what they go through. Even tho they could be read as stand alone I would recommend you read them all in order as the characters do carry over some at times. I enjoyed Shadow's story and hope she continues to write about the battles they all face and they try and reach for acceptance and find love along the way.

If only Ms. Dohner, one of my favorite authors, could write books as quickly as I can read them, I would be in heaven. The New Species series is so real and consistent and believable.
Lots of hot alpha males and the women that fall in love with them, and all are very different so it doesn't get boring.

Laurann Dohner has become one of my favorite authors. The New Species series especially. Sweet, Sexy, funny and exciting at a turn of the page. Beauty and Shadow fit perfectly.

Though slower in pacing, I found that I enjoyed several elements of this book, the budding romance between Beauty and Shadow my favorite ~ Under the Covers
Beauty is a Gift, which means that she is treated with the utmost respect and reverence. Many give her a wide berth because they know of her traumatic past. As a survivor of a brutal captivity, Beauty shows her strength in a way that is quiet, but very much noticeable and admirable. I really liked Beauty’s character because even though she is scared beyond her wits, she is still able to keep her head on straight. I loved the way she was able to stand up to certain people when they simply judged her wrongly. Despite the fact that she was a victim, she doesn’t allow that to simply run her life anymore.
Shadow is the New Species male who is now protecting her. After spending one night lying next to her during a storm Shadow and Beauty share an unbreakable bond now that Dohner takes and builds upon that.
Though slower in pacing, I found that I enjoyed several elements of this book, the budding romance between Beauty and Shadow my favorite. The one thing that dropped this book down from a solid four star rating was simply the pacing. Some scenes dragged on for too long for me and I think it impeded the natural progression of the story. Also, I felt like there was less action than the book prior to this.

This was another great book to the New Species series! It has a nice twist to having now two Species find each other and love. Shadow is the best friend of Wrath who both came from the same testing compound. Beauty is a Gift, and not as shy and timid as her fellow Gift Species. She wants what all the other female Species want, companionship, love, and to have more freedom then the stronger Species allow.Enters Shadow, who makes Beauty see another side of herself, a side she wants to explore.....
