Their small task force is assigned to work for Sheikh Mahmoud, who is distressed to discover that men whose true loyalty is to the radical preacher, British-born Mullah Khaweini, have infiltrated his own security forces. Whilst the trio try to unravel two complex frauds that are funding Middle Eastern terrorism, they uncover a plot that nobody anticipated - a monstrous plan to bring Dubai to its knees. Recommended with caveat. Well written. Lots of shorn limbs and faces torn off. More fighting and less mystery than in the earlier books. Although this is well written, I would not have got the earlier books if I had read this first. I appreciated the detail about the culture and country. Mr. Bentley's books are always well researched and there is a lot of detail here  about guns and other weapons.. There are no major characters who normal Dubai citizens. Just officials and service personnel..  The  "good guys"also commit murder--not in self defense. After all that, I am not sure why I recommend this but I do. Just prepare to skim a lot.

Tight crisp thriller. Mr. Bentley's efficient, intelligent writing style keeps the reader engrossed from beginning to end. Great character development and very creative ends to the villains that will leave saying, "Yes! Thank you for giving them their just deserts". Created a tremendous connection with the protagonists. An fair and positive treatment of Dubai, the UAE and the portrayal of the Emirati characters. Loved it and a recommended read for any one liking the action thriller genre.
