Stumbled across this and figured I had time to kill while sitting in a doctor's waiting room. An interesting take on mystery/supernatural genres. If you like ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night, its something you should check out. A good read, nicely developed characters and a good pace to the story. Definitely worth the time to read it. Already working through the rest of the author's offerings.

I have read several books by this author. Each one is completely different, which is refreshing because I have purchased books that are the same story with different character names. I have enjoyed each book by this author. This one included. It will be interesting to see where she takes us next.

I stumbled across c.l.bevill series in a group I belong to. I enjoyed the moon trilogy and cat clan series even though they were tame compared to my favorite authors. Can read a 300 page book in one sitting in a day let alone a few hours. Shadow people.... I'm on pg173 of 365.... It's been two weeks.... It's a snore fest! It's taking to long to get to the meat of the book. I'm waiting for the seatco to come eat my brain to end this! But I gave it a chance now it's being archived half read to be buried in oblivion!

Not her best work. Thankfully, her other writings shine so well. Will always read the Bubba series, and keep an eye out for other works

This one kept me interested (because penelope is a great character) but i think it was way to far fetched and hard to follow. The native american stuff was interesting when you could actually understand it. It seemed like in one chapter penelope is super scared & having trouble believing these evil things even exist and then before you know it, she completely believes and understands all of it and is ready to kick butt and save the world. Really?? I dont know if this makes sence, but this book had to much in-depth plot & not enough basic plot.

I have read several books by this author, loved them all. This one dragged a little. Think it could have been better with less filler. Not the worst book I have read, but not the best.

Ms. Bevill is amazing! This spins a tale of a thief intertwined in a hiest with mystery and suspense like no other. One job too many! While trying to give her mother the best care she can, she takes a job that turns her world upside down. Lives are lost, love is on the horizon and she can save the world from mayhem. The question is will she. Indian legend is told by a new man in her life that explains the strange goings on. His brother is the culpret behind all and they must stop him. Its a race against the clock, while being chased by iminent death. Who will be strong enough. Who will outsmart whom!

I have read almost every book by C.L. Bevill and have loved every one of them lake ppl and cat clan are my favorite of her series books but I think this one has topped my list over all. It was longer than most of her books and I was worried I would loose interest. The book started off a bit slow but from the moment teddy jumped into the lake I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down until it was finished.
