    What a trilogy!

This bookk is one of the best books I have ever read. It excellently follows the first book in the trilogy (way of shadows). The book also sets you up for the last book. For an excellent read that has great magic and superb martial arts and tremendous plot you can not go wrong with Brent Weeks.

    Wow!

Holy crap, this guy can write. Every page is riveting, and there's not a wasted word. As good as volume 1, but totally different and refreshing.

Though The Shadows edge was a bit lurchy in comparison to The Wa

Though The Shadows edge was a bit lurchy in comparison to The Way of the Shadows, I was still entertained. A lot less violence in this book than the last. Elaine has really made the series lull for me. Once I got past her I was fine. 5 stars regardless but it is a low 5.

    Very Well written

Intricate and sweeping with good character development and protaganists act in thinking ways, but also react from places of deep emotion, in a world that very real with depth, but which the author is very capable of depicting without creating complexity and confusion.

    Too many f*bombs

Honestly, as an adult, I do hear the f*word, even in regular conversation with my colleagues. This book has interesting characters, and some got raped, one or two are gay. But, really do we need to see the f*word so often?

If this doesn't bother you, then the you'll probably enjoy it. The characters are well developed, and the pace of the action quite good. It was easy enough to get engrossed in the multiple story-lines.

    Pretty Good(:

This book was very good. It seemed like they shouldn't of made two different books, it should of been a big huge book. On the other hand this was a good book if you read the first book. I give this a 9.5/10

    Always good to read anytime

I think this was an interesting part of the book. It had its twists and turns and some people backstabbed certain people(laugh). I believe that some things were confusing and and some people will be mad when they figure those certain things out(chuckle). I still love the book and would still recommend this book to anyone who has read the first, cuz you can't really read the second without reading the first, first.

    Stop and Go!

The second book of the Night Angel trilogy starts a bit slow, but is worth the wait. There is much more learned here about the world and characters that surround Kylar Stern. A dizzying number of magical and political plotlines also begin to twist and turn, keeping the reader on the edgiest of edges. A fantastic read, seamless and just as well written as "Way of Shadows".

    Brilliant series!

All 3 books were first class. Great character development, good mix of plot, action, and writing style. I found the books hard to put down and am looking forward to what Brent Weeks comes up with next.

The first book was great, avoid this one

Mr. Weeks did a great job with the first book in this trilogy, but after reading the first 100 pages of this novel I've had to walk away in disgust. The completely idiotic treatment of morals and the painful reading it makes as the main character tries to become a "better" man is truly horrific. It breaks the story, it breaks the character, and makes for an annoyingly bad plot. Yes, none of the characters are believable as real people, but the level of stupidity bestowed upon Kylar and Elene as a couple is enough for me to throw my hands up in disgust at both their and the author's ineptitude. Morality is a hazy subject at best and it definitely deserves better treatment than the hack job that Mr. Weeks is trying to give it in this book. Maybe this book gets better and recaptures the magic of The Way of Shadows, but it won't be for me to find out. If you don't mind a hit you over the head, poorly written treatment of morality, or characters acting so stupid you want to throw the book against the wall, then by all means pick up this book. Whatever you do, make sure and read the first one, its well worth your money.
